OPERATING YOUR TOASTER
TO WARM BREAD
Press Warm button. The number 1 will appear in the LED display. Press Toast/-
Cancel button. After 3 seconds a countdown of 30 seconds will begin in the
display. At end of countdown the warmed bread will raise and the ready alert will
sound 5 times.
KEEP TOAST WARM
Press Warm button during a toasting cycle. At end of toasting cycle countdown
the bread will not raise, but will remain lowered in the slots for 3 minutes. During
the 3 minutes the heating element will work intermittently to achieve lower
temperature required for warming. Bread may be raised from slots at any time by
pressing Raise/Check button.
NOTE: The Warm function can be added to the Defrost and Bagel cycles.

10. Use the Bagel button to toast bagels and English muffins crisp on the inner-
facing side, and soft and warm on the outside. Place the cut side of the bagel or
English muffin in the toaster with the cut side toward the center of the toaster
(Fig. 3). Press the Bagel button. A darkness setting will appear in the LED display.
Press the Lighter or Darker buttons to decrease or increase the setting. Press the
Toast/Cancel button to start the Bagel cycle. After 3 seconds the time countdown
will appear in the LED display. Decrease or increase setting at any time during
cycle by pressing the Lighter or Darker button. To cancel the cycle at any time,
press and hold the Toast/Cancel button for 3 seconds. At the end of the Bagel
cycle, the Bagel and Toast/Cancel button words will cease to be illuminated.

ADJUSTING THE POWER CORD LENGTH
The retractable cord storage feature on this toaster allows you to adjust the
power cord to the exact length needed from the toaster location to the electrical
outlet. Adjust cord only after it is unplugged and after toaster cools. Do not
unplug if any control button words are illuminated. Press Toast/Cancel button
and wait for 3 seconds for control button words to go out before unplugging
toaster.
• If cord is entirely retracted into the toaster or is drawn out to a shorter length
than desired, grasp the cord by the plug with one hand and steady the toaster
with the other. Pull the cord out to the desired length.
• If cord is already drawn out to a greater length than desired, grasp the plug with
one hand, steady the toaster with the other, and pull the plug out slightly to
release the catch mechanism. Then allow the cord to retract to the desired
length. If the toaster is to remain unplugged, allow cord to retract entirely into
the toaster.
WARNING: To avoid possible injury to children, DO NOT allow children to use the
retractable cord.
IMPORTANT: If food becomes jammed or wedged in the toaster, the built-in
Auto Power-Off function will automatically shut the power off. UNPLUG the cord
and remove the jammed food item. Press Toaster/Cancel button two times to
reset toaster.
WARNING: NEVER use metal utensils to free food from toaster.
TOAST READY ALERT
To activate or deactivate sound, press Lighter and Darker button together and
hold down 3 seconds. Two beeps indicate that the sound is on; one beep
indicates that the sound is off.
