Do not move or tilt the device when in operation.
WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with that of the
device (see type label).
Connect the device only in case of compliance! Take note of the security advice!

5.2 Installation and connection

Unpack the device and discard and remove all of the packing material.
Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of the device and
is not heat sensitive.
Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as: table cloth,
carpet, etc.).
You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces,
furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources.
WARNING! Fire danger!
Make sure there are no inflammable materials/objects near the installation spot. You should
leave plenty of space between every side of the device and walls of cupboards, racks etc., so
the air emitted by the device can circulate properly.
Position the device in a way so that the plug is easily accessible.
The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the unit directly to
the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
Rinse and wash out the inner pot thoroughly and dry it properly afterwards.

5.3 Operation

The party kettle consists of a heated outer pot with thermostatic control, a removable stainless steel
inner pot and a ring, which is set on top of the outer pot. The device is provided with a rotary and fold-
away stainless steel lid with a ladle cut-out and a heat-insulated handle. The lid locks into three
different positions:
Closed:
Fold-up:
Opened sideways:
The functioning of the party kettle is similar to the way of functioning of bain-maries/ water quenches.
The soup is kept warm via an electrically heated water mantle.
NOTE!
In order to decrease the heating time you may also use hot water. When using cold water this
water has to be heated for a longer time.
