Locking and unlocking the sliding cutting head
• The sliding cutting head is locked for transport. The locking pin must be removed before use.
• Remove the locking pin of the sliding cutting head. Now the cutting head can be moved forwards and backwards along the guides.
• Warning: The sliding cutting head should be locked before any maintenance work, transport or during storage.
• To lock the cutting head, insert the locking pin.
• Push the sliding cutting head forward.
Filling the tank with water
• Move the engine forward far enough to expose the water tank underneath.
• Fill the tank with clean water. Do not add any chemicals or detergents to the water. Make sure the pump is well below the water level.
• Water can be topped up or replaced as necessary while the unit is running.
Cutting
• Ensure that the cutting location is marked on the tile.
• Move the cutting head slowly backwards and forwards to check that the blade is not in contact with the cutting groove on the top of the table or with the
depth stop on the back edge of the table.
• Tilt the cutting head backwards to place the tile on the table.
• Start the machine with the switch and wait for the blade to spin up to full speed. Make sure the blade looks wet.
• With both hands, rest the tile securely on the depth stop located on the rear edge of the cutting head.
• Warning: Under no circumstances must your hands or fingers extend over the grooves on the back edge of the work table. When cutting, the blade will
move into this area.
• Slowly press the sliding cutting head and tile forward towards the blade. Move the tile smoothly towards the blade. Do not use too much force/pressure.
• Carefully cut the tile along the marked line.
• Do not cut without water. Make sure the blade is wet. Check the water level in the water tank frequently and top it up as often as necessary. Make sure the
pump is well below the water level.
• If the motor slows down, slow down the rate at which the tile is moved or withdraw the tile in a smooth manner.
• Wipe the unit with a sponge to reduce dirt build-up. Make sure the unit is switched off when doing this.
• Switch off the unit by pressing the ON/OFF switch. Wait for the blade to stop by itself. Do not stop the blade manually by grasping it with your hands or by
pushing it up with another object.
• Warning: Do not remove blocked parts or residue in the blade if the blade is rotating. Wait for the blade to stop by itself.
• Remove the power cord's plug from the socket after using the unit. Empty the water tank, clean the unit and the pump. Lock the sliding cutting head before
carrying out maintenance work and before transport or storage.
Diagonal cut
• Loosen the angle gauge knob.
• Place the angle gauge on the side stop on the back edge of the work table.
• Set the angle gauge at the required distance.
• Lock the knob again.
• Unscrew the angle adjustment knob at the top.
• Set the required angle (0° to 45°).
• Lock the angle adjustment knob again.
• Place the tile on the angle gauge.
45° bevel cut
• Tilt the sliding cutting head back so that the blade is not on the table.
• Loosen the angle adjustment knob on the sides of the frame.
• Position the cutting head at a 45° angle.
• Lock the angle adjustment knob again.
• Lock the height adjustment knob again.
• Set the angle of the guide to 45°.
• Tilt the sliding cutting head slowly forward and ensure that the blade is not in contact with the cutting groove on the top of the table or with the stop on the
rear edge of the table.
Use of an additional handle
• An extension bracket can be used to provide additional support for larger tiles if required.
• Extend the extension handle located on the left side of the work table to the required distance, but do not remove it from the work table.
• Tighten the two knobs on the two rods to lock.
• Slide the side stop upwards.
• Place the tile on the work table stop and on the side stop of the extension handle.
