TROUBLESHOOTING NOTES
What PS2 are you using? If its the SCPH-9000XXX (final slim model) it wont work, as per the
information table shown above.
If you have a mod-chipped console, McBoot also wont work unless you disable your mod-
chip (normally done on most mod-chips by pressing reset 5 or 10 times quickly in a row).
Remember Kaico test every card before sending so the likelihood is that there is a problem
with your PS2 and not the memory card itself.
If your still having issues please try the following:
Firstly, make sure there are no games inserted in the PS2, just 1 controller connected and
nothing in the USB ports.
Put the McBoot memory card in slot 1 and switch on the PS2. When it loads up, go into the
browser and verify that you can see the McBoot installation files (there should be approx 7-8
files). If you can't see these files, turn off the PS2, take out the memory card, and then switch
the PS2 back on. Go into browser and then insert the memory card into slot1.
It should now detect on the browser and you can see the memory card. Go into the memory
card, and confirm you can see the McBoot files. (Approx 7-8 files).
From this screen, simply press reset once on the console and then the console should boot
into McBoot. If it doesn't, repeat the process but try it on slot2 repeating the same steps
as above.
If your Kaico McBoot Memory Card malfunctions or you can't get it working after following all
the troubleshooting steps above, then please contact us via e-mail or through our website to
arrange repair or replacement.
