If the trip current deviates from the specified range, adjust the trip
current relay circuit. Newer testers typically feature a small adjustable
resistor on the circuit board for this purpose, while older models may
utilize a Sigma relay with an accessible screw head for adjustment.
Voltmeter Calibration:
Connect a traceable high-voltage voltmeter to the output leads and
compare its reading with that of the internal voltmeter. Employing an
electrostatic voltmeter is recommended for this comparison.
IMPORTANT: Do not replace the plastic screw in a retractable high-
voltage probe with a metal screw under any circumstances!
