- Once all the components are in place, unroll a sufficient length of power cord and plug the plug into
the wall socket. A yellow mark on the power cord indicates the ideal length of the cord. Do not extend
the power cord beyond the red mark.
- Plug the plug into the wall socket.
- Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
- Press the on/off button on the top of the machine to turn on the hoover.
- Pull the plug out of the socket. Do not pull the power cord.
- To rewind the power cord, press the rewind button and guide the cord with the other hand to avoid
whipping the cord and causing damage or injury.
Make sure the power cord is not hanging over sharp edges and keep it away from hot objects and
open flames.
Be careful when vacuuming on stairs.
Do not vacuum hard or sharp objects such as nails or glass, screws, coins, etc.
Do not pick up cigarette embers, matches or hot, smouldering or burning objects.
Do not vacuum flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, petrol, etc.) and do not use in the
presence of explosive liquids or vapours.
Do not vacuum toxic materials (bleach, ammonia, etc.).
Do not use the unit in an enclosed space filled with vapors from oil paints, paint thinner, mothballs,
flammable dusts or other explosive or toxic vapors.
Keep your work area dry.
Do not use the hoover to clean your pets or any other animals.
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Unplug from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. Do not wrap the cord around the ap-
pliance or bend it.
WARNING : Grasp the power cord plug while rewinding the power cord. Do not allow the power cord
to snap while it is being rewound.
Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or any other liquid. Risk of electric shock!
Clean the hoover by wiping it with a damp cloth. Do not use strong, solvent or abrasive cleaning agents.
WARNING: Always unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet before removing the dustpan.
CLEANING THE DUSTPAN
1. Release the dust pan by pressing the release button on the arm of the dust pan and lift it up.
2. Press the button on the bottom end of the dust pan to open the dust pan lid and empty the dust pan.
