READ THE INSTRUCTION BEFORE USE:
USE: This device is meant to be used by a single person as a fall arrest device. The connections should only be made
directly to the attachment point of a full body harness. Make sure that the connection to the anchorage is secured
properly before every use. Ensure the lifeline is kept safe and does not come in contact with sharp edge or abrasive
surfaces, and thermal, electrical or chemical hazards. This equipment may be used as a component of a personal fall
arrest system in horizontal lifeline applications. The design, installation or utilization of horizontal lifelines must be
supervised by a qualified or competent person. A competent person must calculate the fall clearance before each
use. The fall clearance must include consideration for swing falls. Refer to the fall clearance chart located in the energy
absorber label pack.
INSPECTION: Inspect unit in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and regulatory guidelines. Before use,
inspect for any signs of damage, wear, or malfunctioning components. Check lifeline retraction by pulling out the
entire length of the lifeline and allow to retract under light tension; lifeline should retract completely. Pull sharply to
test locking function; brakes must engage. Before use, inspect the condition and functions of the lifeline fasteners,
and legibility of labels. Also check for evidence of defects, damage, or missing parts. Check energy absorber for sign of
activation. Inspection must be done by a competent person and recorded every 6 months.
