5. Hose connection

Operation
Check before switching on!
Check the safe condition of the product:
• Check whether there are any visible
defects.
• Check all parts to make sure that they fit
tightly.
• Check whether pressure has built up in
the compressed air system.
• Check whether the compress air connec-
tion and the pressure pipes are tight.
Compressed air supply
NOTICE! Risk of product damage! 
Only operate the device with cleaned,
condensate-free and oil-atomised
compressed air.
• Fittings and hoses must be designed in
accordance with the pressure and the
required air quantity.
• Always use a compressed air mainte-
nance unit with a filter pressure reducer
and oil-mist lubricator.
– Remove the protective cap (7) (► P. 3, 
fig. 2).
– Screw the plug-in coupling (8) into the
hose connection (5) (► P. 3, fig. 3).
– Plug the compressed air hose into the
plug-in coupling and allow to engage
firmly (► P. 3, fig. 4).
Mount the retaining spring

DANGER! Risk of injury! The
retainer spring prevents the inde-
pendent loosening of the tool from the
device.
Do not operate the product without
retaining spring!

– Screw the retaining spring (1) to the
device as depicted.
Insert the tool

– Bend the front bracket of the retaining
spring (1) as depicted and hold.
– Push the tool (9) into the tool mount as far
as it will go and release the retaining
spring (1).
Chipping
– Make sure that the setting screw (6) is
fully open.
– Apply light pressure to the device to pre-
vent the device from making uncontrolled
movements.
– Switching on: Press the On-Off switch (4).
– Switching off: Release On-Off switch (4).
Note: Strong pressure on the device
does not increase efficiency.

Note: For direct lubrication of the
device or for addition to the com-
pressed air maintenance unit we rec-
ommend motor oil SAE 10 or SAE 20.
