• The device is not suitable for operation in
potentially explosive atmospheres.
Sparks may occur during work, which may
ignite flammable liquids, gases, chippings
or dusts.
• Vapours or dusts containing components
that may be carcinogenic, cell-damaging
or mutagenic may arise during activities
such as drilling, sawing, grinding and
spraying. These include, among others:
Lead in paints and varnishes containing
lead; crystalline siliceous earth in tiles,
cement and other masonry work; arsenic

• Make sure you are standing firmly and
that you have a natural posture when
working. This enables you to react better
to usual or unexpected reactions of the
device caused by backlash, blockage,
jamming, tool breakage or workpiece
breakthrough.
• Repeated movements of the device and
vibration loads can lead to vibration dam-
age in the hands and arms. If you should
notice pain, tingling, numbnes or whiten-
ing of your fingers, you may not continue
to work. Consult a physician and use suit-
able holding equipment for prophylactic
reasons.
• Only use fault-free accessories suitable
and approved for the device. Incorrectly
fastened, damaged or worn tools can
cause intensive vibrations, by means of
which the device may become uncontrol-
