Handling compressed air
• Make sure that all connections and supply lines
are rated for the required pressures and air flows.
To prevent accidents, the minimum air pressure
for the product must not be underrun and the
maximum permissible pressure for the product is
not exceeded.
• Unrestrained compressed air hoses as well as the
resultant fragments or dust being blown around
can cause injuries. Pull all hose clamps tight
before commencing work and replace damaged
supply lines.
• Blow through or clean connections before using
for the first time. Soiling can impair the function
and and safety of the product.
• Disconnect the product from the compressed air
supply during breaks in work, prolonged periods
of non-use or taking out of operation.
• The product may only be connected to lines that
have a protection mechanism to prevent the max-
imum permissible pressure from being exceeded
by more than 10%. This can be achieved, for
example, by a pressure regulating valve with a
downstream or built-in pressure limiting valve
being fitted into the compressed air line.
• Only operate the product at the pressure required
for the operation concerned, in order to prevent
unnecessarily high noise levels, excessive wear
and the resultant malfunctions.
• Compressed air can be dangerous if the operator
is unsure how it should be handled. Assembly,
commissioning and maintenance is reserved for
trained and experienced persons.
• Do not direct compressed air at yourself or at oth-
ers in order to clean clothing and footwear.
