General Instructions for use
You operate the KLAMER Crêpe Maker as follows:
Switching on
Set the setting wheel to level 0 and connect the unit to the power source. Turn
the setting wheel from level 0 to the desired level to switch on the unit.
Set the temperature and start the crêpe process
1. After switching on the appliance, grease the baking surface on level 0 or
1 with a little oil or butter. Use a soft paper towel, for example, to do this.
2. Set the desired temperature by turning the setting wheel. Levels 1-6
correspond to different temperature levels, with 1 being the lowest and
6 the highest. The baking time varies depending on the thickness of the
dough and the heat level and is between 2 and 5 minutes.
3. Low heat levels (1-2) are suitable for thinner crêpes or a batter that burns
easily (e.g. batter with a high sugar content).
4. Medium heat settings (3-4) are often a good starting point. You can start
here and adjust the temperature depending on your results.
5. High heat settings (5-6) might be suitable for thicker batter.
6. Place a small amount of batter in the centre of the heating plate and
spread the batter evenly over the entire surface using the enclosed crêpe
spreader.
7. The crêpe process starts automatically as soon as the appliance is switched
on and the temperature is set. The duration of the baking process depends
on the set temperature, the thickness of the batter and the recipe. Check
the crêpe regularly to make sure it does not burn.
Switching off
After use, turn the setting dial back to level 0 and disconnect it from the power
source to switch off the unit.
Cleaning
Please always disconnect the unit from the power source before cleaning or
moving it. NEVER allow the electronics to come into contact with water. You
clean the unit as follows:
1. Unplug the mains plug from the socket if you have not already done so.
2. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside of the crêpe maker. Dry it
afterwards. Never put the crêpe maker under running water. Do not rinse
it with water either.
3. Do not clean the appliance with aggressive cleaners or scouring agents to
