Before first use
Before you start using your KLAMER Crêpe Maker, please observe the following
steps:
1. Remove the KLAMER Crêpe Maker from the packaging and remove all
packaging material.
2. Clean the appliance thoroughly to remove packaging residue and other
dirt. Use a slightly damp cloth for this purpose. Allow all parts to dry
thoroughly.
3. Make sure that all parts of the Crêpe Maker, especially the cooking surface,
are clean and free from dust or dirt.
4. Place the appliance on a flat and level surface to ensure even distribution
of the batter and proper operation of the appliance.
5. Check that the power cord and plug are in good condition.
6. Make sure that there are no foreign objects in or on the Crêpe Maker. The
Crêpe Maker is now ready for use.
Caution
The appliance and the mains plug must never be cleaned under water, in
the sink or in the dishwasher!
The preparation of the crepe dough
When preparing a standard crêpe dough, it is important to follow some basic
steps to achieve the best possible consistency and taste:
1. Make sure you have all the ingredients to hand: 250g flour, 3 eggs, 500ml
milk, 1 pinch of sugar & salt and approx. 50g butter. These quantities are
enough for approx. 10 servings.
2. Beat the eggs in a large bowl and add sugar and a pinch of salt. Mix
everything together well. Then gradually add the flour, followed by the
milk. Be careful to avoid lumps.
3. Melt the butter and add it to the dough. Mix the dough well until it has a
smooth and even consistency.
4. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let the dough rest for about 30 minutes
to an hour. This allows the flour to absorb the liquid and makes the dough
more pliable.
5. Stir the dough well again before you start cooking.
The dough is now ready to prepare delicious crêpes. Make sure to preheat the
crêpe maker well before use and brush it lightly with butter or oil to prevent
sticking.
