opening of contacts at all poles. The gap between
the circuit breaker contacts at all poles must be
not less than 3 mm.
• WARNING! Similar to the use of any other house-
hold electrical appliances when operating this fan,
the following basic rules must be followed:
– never touch the fan with wet or damp hands.
– Never touch the fan when barefoot.
• Make sure that the power supply corresponds
with the connection specifications of the device
before it is connected.
• The device may only be used within the specified
limitations for voltage and power (see type plate).
• When not in use, the device must always be fully
disconnected from the electrical network using an
all-pole switch.
• Disconnect device from power supply before and
during transportation
Maintenance
• Before any work or setting, make sure that the
device is completely disconnected from power
supply by all-pole switch.
• Only maintenance and troubleshooting described
here may be carried out. Any other work must be
carried out by qualified specialist.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Switch on and operate device only in completely
assembled state.
• The product may not be operated outdoors.
• Never put objects through the ventilation grate
into the device.
• Never put the device in water or other liquids.
• The fan is rated for operation at ambient temper-
atures ranging from +1 °C to +40 °C.
• WARNING! Do not operate the fan outside the
specified temperature range
• The transferred air must be clean, i.e. it must not
contain any fat or rust particles, chemical or cor-
rosive agents, explosive or flammable mixtures.
• Do not block air inlet and outlet openings. For
devices that will be installed in exhaust pipes,
check that exhaust pipe is not blocked.
• Danger to life if the device is used simultaneously
with the compartment air dependant fireplace (g.
g. Gas-, oil-, wood- or coal heater)! Poisonous
combustion gases from chimney or fireplace ven-
tilation shaft can be sucked again in the compart-
ment air due to suction effect! Moreover, the com-
bustion in the fireplace is adversely affected (no
sufficient air supply for combustion). Only suffi-
cient air supply prevents this negative difference
of air pressure.
• The underpressure (negative difference of pres-
sure) of the air must not exceed 4 Pa (4 × 10
bar).
• All official regulations must be strictly followed.
• The exhaust air must pass neither into smoke or
exhaust gas stack that is in operation, nor into
ventilation shaft that is used to ventilate installa-
tion rooms with fireplaces.
• If the exhaust air should be passed in idle smoke
or exhaust gas stack than all official regulations
must be followed.

for use before using the product for the first
time.
Important instructions for the installation
Note: Expert knowledge from the most dif-
ferent specialist areas are required for the
installation, hence only the qualified, author-
ized personnel may install the device.
• It is recommended to install the device at least
230 cm above the floor.
• Use only approved components to install exhaust
pipes.
• Install exhaust pipes in a such way that a flow of
condensed water into the device is not possible.
• While drilling the wall pay attention to existing
cables and pipes in the wall.
• Please note minimum diameter of the exhaust
pipe (► Technical data – p. 20).
• Keep the exhaust pipes as short as possible.
• Install exhaust pipes in a vent stack in flow direc-
tion.

The fan is designed for horizontal or vertical assem-
bly on a pipe with a compatible diameter.
WARNING! Damage to unit/functional
problems in the event of rubbing impel-
ler. Do not twist or squash housing when
installing.
WARNING! Danger of short-circuits/dam-
age to unit as a result of buildup of con-
densation in fan housing. Take all
-5
required actions to prevent buildup of con-
densate, including thermal insulation of the
ventilation pipes in a professional manner.
WARNING! Risk of damage to the
device! During installation secure the fan
against sliding or falling.
