- Page 5 V1.0 20 TON HYDRAULIC SHOP PRESS 8656316 Ensure that the workpiece is center-loaded and secure. An unbalanced load may slip off the heel blocks or bed frame. Keep hands and feet away from the bed area at all times. Do not use the shop press to compress a spring or any other item that could disengage and cause a potential hazard.
- Page 6 8656316 20 TON HYDRAULIC SHOP PRESS V1.0 Do not attempt makeshift repairs to a hydraulic system. Such repairs can fail suddenly and create a hazardous condition. Never exceed the hydraulic system’s load capacity (see Specifications). Do not adjust the hydraulic system’s relief setting.

Use the exploded drawing in the Parts Breakdown as your guide to assemble the shop press. Lay all parts and assemblies out in front of you before beginning.
- Page 8 8656316 20 TON HYDRAULIC SHOP PRESS V1.0 12. Connect oil hose 2 (#27) to the union seat (#34) and the ram (#26). Oil hose 2 will have an o-ring (#28) and joint (#29) on the end that connects to the union seat.

Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.

DISPOSAL OF HYDRAULIC FLUID Do not drain hydraulic oil into the sewer system or dispose in an uncontrolled location. Hydraulic fluid may take more than a year to breakdown in the environment and the ingredients may still be toxic.

Posez toutes les pièces et les ensembles devant vous avant de commencer. Plusieurs étapes deviendront plus faciles si on fait appel à un assistant.

Inspectez immédiatement le vérin hydraulique s'il a subi une charge ou une charge d'impact anormale.
