Operation as a pond vacuum
DANGER! Danger to life due to electrical
shock! When working with electrical units,
never stand in water or reach into the water!
Ensure that the unit is set up on a dry sur-
face and is not in danger of tipping over.
– Set up the unit at least 2 m away from the edge of
the pond, a maximum of 0.5 m above the water
level and ensure that it is safe from flooding.
Note: The higher the unit is above the level
of the water, the worse the suction perfor-
mance (maximum suction height: ► Techni-
cal data – p. 21).
– Screw the cap (13) off the run-off connection (2)
– Screw the drainage hose into the run-off connec-
tion (2) in such a way that the reflux cap (closed
hose end) is located at the outlet of the drainage
hose.
– If required, fit the supplied fine filter sack over the
end of the drainage hose (► P. 4, item 4).
– Place the run-off hose on the floor at an angle so
that the dirt collection container is able to drain of
its own accord.
– Turn on the unit, the switch (4) to position [II].
– Guide the pond brush (12) along the bottom of the
pond. In doing so, suck off the silt with slow and
even movements.
– When the dirt collection container is full, switch
the unit off. The dirt water runs off via the run-off
hose.
Note: When the dirt collection container is
full, a float closes the suction opening and
the engine will operate with increased revo-
lutions.
– Immediately switch off the unit and
empty the dirt collection container.
