Device-specific safety instructions
• All components of the device must be assembled
correctly in order to ensure trouble-free operation.
• If necessary, only use extension cords that are
appropriate for both the device and the environ-
ment.
• When working with the device do not touch
grounded objects (radiators, water pipes etc.).
• Never direct the suction hose onto yourself or
other in order to clean clothing or shoes.
• Never vacuum objects containing substances
(i. e. asbestos) that may be a health risk.
• Never vacuum solvent-based liquids, acetone,
undiluted acids or solvents as cleaning agents!
The exhaust air produced by the vacuum as a
result of such substances is very dangerous to
health and may also be explosive.
• Be careful when cleaning varnished and smooth
surfaces in order to prevent damages.
• When disposing of the collected dirty water,
observe the legal regulations.
• Never block the float in the filter basket of the unit.
• The foam filter is only suitable for liquids. Do not
vacuum dry dust or dirt!
• Make sure you are positioned firmly when working
on a pond.
• When using as a pond vacuum always ensure
that there are no people or animals in the water or
in contact with the water.
• Do not apply constant force to the hoses.
• Do not vacuum large particles of dirt. Risk of
blockage!
• Symbols affixed to your tools may not be removed
or covered. Information on the device that is no
longer legible must be replaced immediately.

Unpacking and assembly
Unpacking
Unpack the unit and make sure all of the pieces are
there.

Assembly
Installing the castors
► P. 4, item 2
– Release container lock (3) and remove motor
unit.
– Stand the appliance on its head.
– Insert the castors (17) in the holes provided, and
let them engage.
Inserting the foam filter
► P. 4, item 3
– Remove the engine housing.
– Put the foam filter onto the filter basket.
– Replace the motor housing again and close
securely using the two container locks (3).
Mounting the vacuum hose and nozzles
– Insert the vacuum pipe into the handle of the vac-
uum hose.
– Fit the required nozzle.
Mounting the vacuuming hose
– Insert the sleeve of the vacuuming hose (6) into
the suction connection (5).
Operation
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in safe operating
condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible defects.
– Check to make sure all device components are
correctly mounted.
