BEFORE USE
Note: Always observe the specified torque of the screw connection. A screw connection that is too
tight or too loose may cause damage and lead to dangerous situations.
Before using the torque wrench, check that it is set correctly and that the appropriate attachment
is used.
USE
To set the torque:
1.
Pull the release latch (F) backwards to release the handle (G).
2. Turn the handle (G) to set the appropriate torque.
3. Then push the release latch (F) forwards again to lock the handle (G).
(Figure ③ shows the adjustment method for 20.8 Nm)
Example of setting the torque
3.1 The initial setting of the handle is 1 Nm.
3.2 Turn the release latch (F) backwards to release the handle (G) and do not flip the release latch
(F) over.
3.3 First turn the handle (G) clockwise to 20 Nm. The "0" must match the main scale mark (D) (turn
the handle (G) clockwise to increase and anticlockwise to decrease).
3.4 Turn the handle (G) again until it is aligned with the main scale mark (D) at "0.8". Release the
release latch (F) and lock the handle (G). The torque is now 20.8 Nm.
3.5 If the torque wrench is not used for a long period of time, pull the release latch (F) backwards
to unlock the handle (G) and return the handle (G) to its original state.
3.6 The screw can be tightened to a fixed torque by selecting a suitable socket wrench.
3.7 When the correct torque is reached, the torque wrench makes a "click" sound. Tighten the
torque wrench evenly and without excessive force.
NOTE: When applying a small torque, the "click" sound cannot be heard, but there is a clear slack
that indicates that the torque has also reached the set value.
