GENERAL NOTES
Check the attachments for damage or wear before each use. The use of damaged or worn
•
attachments may affect the release accuracy of the torque wrench, damage the screw
connection, or damage or break the torque wrench, screw connection or attachment.
Never use the torque wrench to tighten left-hand threaded screw connections, to loosen screw
•
connections, or as an impact or lever tool.
The torque wrench is a test tool and may only be used by qualified persons for tightening
•
right-hand threaded screw connections. The torque wrench must not be used by children or
by persons who are not familiar with the torque wrench.
Use the torque wrench only within the specified torque range.
•
Check that the attachment is correctly and securely positioned before each use of the torque
•
wrench. Do not continue to use the torque wrench and/or attachment if the attachment is not
securely seated on the connecting square.
Before tightening, check that the screw connection is in good condition. The thread must be
•
free of damage and dirt and, if necessary, should be lightly lubricated. Screws or bolts must
not be damaged or worn. Never try to tighten a damaged screw connection.
Place the attachment precisely on the screw connection to prevent it from slipping.
•
Avoid jerky movements and do not exert excessive pressure on the torque wrench to tighten
•
a screw connection.
