Keep children away from acid filled batteries.
Fire, flames and smoking are forbidden:
-Avoid creating sparks when handling cables and electrical devices and when there are electrostatic
discharges.
-Avoid short circuits (e.g. by not placing any tools on the battery).
Explosion hazard:
-A highly explosive gas is created when batteries are charged.
-Ensure adequate ventilation and avoid flames.
Risk of burns:
-Battery acid is highly corrosive and can cause severe burns and eye damage.
-Always wear protective gloves/clothing and eye protection.
-Battery acid can be corrosive to metals.
First aid:
-EYES

Warning note:
-Do not expose the battery to direct daylight, as this may cause damage to the battery housing.
-A discharged battery may freeze. Therefore, do not expose it to temperatures below zero.
Handing in an old battery:
-Return an old battery to an authorised body.
-The instructions listed under part 1 must be followed during transportation.
-Never dispose of old batteries as domestic waste.
1. Information
Unlike conventional batteries for motorcycles, batteries with AGM & GEL technology do not need to be filled with water at all. These sealed
batteries for motorcycles may not be re-opened after commissioning. Opening it would cause the battery to malfunction.
Always follow the warnings and safety instructions.
2. General instructions
-The temperature of the battery must preferably be above 10 °C.
-Only fit this battery in the vehicle in the location designated by the manufacturer. Always ensure that the battery is adequately ventilated.
Follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.
-Attach these instructions for use to the vehicle manual.
3. Fitting and removing a battery
If you are unsure about fitting or removing a battery, please contact a qualified workshop.
Assembling:
-Before starting work, switch off the engine and all electrically powered devices.
-Remove all objects from the location where the battery is to be placed.
-Avoid short circuits, for example by tools.
-First, clamp the positive terminal and then the negative terminal. Make sure the terminal connections are securely fastened.
-Transfer other parts, such as the terminal cover, corner section, hose connections and the terminal connection holder (if any) over from
the old battery.
Dismantling:
-Remove all objects from the location where the battery is to be removed.
-Always disconnect the negative terminal first and then the positive terminal.
4. Charging the battery
-Never exceed a charging current greater than 50% of the battery capacity. Charging too quickly or overcharging can
cause damages.
-lf the battery becomes hot to the touch, stop the charging and allow it to cool down before recharging.
-Always remove the battery from the vehicle prior to charging.
-Charge the battery with a Motorcycle battery charger suitable for this size/type of battery with an output power of 1/10th
of the battery's rated capacity.
-Let the battery settle for 1 or 2 hours after charging before checking the voltage. lf the voltage is less than 12.8 volts, an
additional charge is necessary.
5. Maintenance
-Keep the battery clean and dry.
-Only clean the terminals and the surface of the battery with a damp, anti-static cloth. Otherwise, there is a risk of explosion.
-Tighten the clamps securely.
-A sealed battery requires no maintenance by refilling with water. Therefore, do not open the battery.
-Recharge the battery if the starting power is insufficient.
-If the battery will not be used for an extended period of time (e.g. in winter), make sure that it is (trickle) charged. Carefully remove the
battery before charging.
