SAFETY INFORMATION
It is very important and necessary to read the user manual carefully (in the accessories) before installing or using the
battery. Failure to follow any of the instructions or warnings in this document can result in electrical shock, serious injury,
or death, or can damage battery, potentially rendering it inoperable.
Observe these instructions and keep them located near the Li-Ion Battery for future reference.
To avoid serious injury, risk of fire, explosion, and danger of electric shock or electrocution:
•
Do not probe the battery. The charging terminals hold a high current that can result in electrical shock and/or
injury.
•
If the battery enclosure is damaged, do not insert it into the charger. Replace with a new battery.
•
Only charge this battery with the Flo Smart Water and Shutoff (sold separately). Do not charge this battery with
any other type of charger.
•
Do not allow liquid inside or on the battery.
•
Do not use the battery for any other purpose than what is presented in this manual.
•
Do not short circuit any terminals of the battery.
•
Risk of fire, explosion, and burns. Do not disassemble, crush, expose to heat above 212°F (100ºC), or
incinerate. Use insulated tools. Do not wear any metallic items such as watches, bracelets, etc. In case of fire,
you must use a type D, foam, or CO2 fire extinguisher.
•
After full depth of discharge, the battery must be charged within 12 hours. Please follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
WARNING
If any battery material such as the electrolyte or powder meets the skin or gets in eyes, they must be flushed and/
or washed with clean water immediately; user shall then seek out medical assistance. Skin and/or clothing should
be rinsed out with soap and water.
•
Do not charge the battery in rain or in wet conditions. Do not immerse the tool, battery, or charger in water or
other liquid.
•
Do not allow the battery or charger to overheat. If they are warm, allow them to cool down. Recharge only at
room temperature.
•
Do not cover the ventilation slots on the top of the charger. Do not set the charger on a soft surface, i.e.
blanket, pillow. Keep the ventilation slots of the charger clear.
•
Do not allow small metal items or material such as steel wool, aluminum foil, or other foreign particles into
the battery cavity.
•
Do not place the battery in the sun or in a warm environment. Keep at normal room temperature.
•
Keep in shady, cool, and dry conditions.
•
Dispose of used battery promptly. Keep away from children. Do not disassemble and do not dispose of in fire.
•
Do not expose the battery to water or salt water.
•
Battery should be stored in a cool and dry location.
•
Do not place the battery in high-temperature locations, such as near a fire, heater, etc.
•
Do not reverse the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the battery.
•
Do not connect the positive terminal and the negative terminal of the battery to each other with any metal
objects.
