3.4 Tare function
The tare function lets you know what the net weight of a product is when you put the gross
weight on the weighing plate. Example: You want to weigh ingredients in a tray. If the empty
container weighs 100 grams, after pressing the tare button, the screen will show "0 grams"
instead of 100 grams. If you then put 50 grams of vegetables in the bin, the screen will show
"50 grams" instead of 150 grams. So the weight of the bin is filtered out.
1. First, place an empty container on the weighing plate. The weight of the empty
container is displayed on the screen.
2. Press the TARE button to filter out the tare weight. The screen will now display "0" and
the word "TARE."
3. Now put the products to be weighed into the empty container.
4. The display will show the weight of the products (net weight) without the weight of the
container.
5. When finished, take the products and container off the weighing plate. The screen shows
the negative weight of the container. Press the TARE button to return to zero weight
without tare.
4. Troubleshooting
If the following problems occur while using the product, refer to the table below to find a
solution. If the problems cannot be solved using these options, please contact our customer
service.

5. Maintenance and cleaning
Clean the product with a damp, clean cloth and dry it well. Do not use abrasive or
aggressive cleaning agents.

Cause
The batteries are low.
The product is not
stable.
The product on the
weighing platform is
not stable.
Overload: There is too
much weight on the
weighing platform.
Solution
Replace the batteries.
Use 3x AAA batteries for this
purpose.
Place the weighing scale on an even
and stable surface.
Make sure that the product to
be weighed is stationary on the
weighing plate.
Make sure there is a maximum of
6 kg on the weighing plate.
