Removing the chuck jaw inserts
1. Remove the hex socket set screws with the
appropriate hexagonal key.
2. Remove the springs and spring retainers.
3. Install the hex socket set screws.
CAUTION
Screw in the hex socket screws until you can
turn them no further.

Lubricate the bearings for the hollow spindle through
the two grease nipples in the head stock.
Hand wheel chuck
Check that all chuck mounting screws are tightened.
Reamer
Clean and lightly oil the reamer cone and shaft.

Die head and dies
1. Clean the die head and dies.
2. Check dies for any broken teeth or pipe scrap
between the teeth.
