Intended purpose
The intended purpose of Companion (Favorit) is to enhance speech intel-
ligibility through amplification of an audio source or via a telecoil system.
Intended user
The intended user is a person with mild to severe hearing loss who needs-
sound amplification.
Intended user group
The intended user group consists of people of all ages with mild to severe
hearing loss who need sound amplification.
Principle of operation
The Companion (Favorit) either amplifies speech and surrounding sound
or receives an audio signal via the built in telecoil receiver. The sound is
then transferred to the user via headphones.
Hereby AB Transistor Sweden (named "AB Transistor" below) declares that this product, within
Europe, follows the essential requirements of the Medical Device Regulation EU 2017/745. Declara-
tion of conformity can be obtained from AB Transistor.
