INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Pump installation
When installing the pump, ensure the pump is
never suspended freely from the water outlet
hose or cable. The pump must be suspended from a
rope which is attached to the handle (5) provided for
the purpose, or placed at the bottom of the well, pool
or garden pond.
When installing the pump so that it operates in
automatic mode, the location where the pump
will be installed must be at least 40 x 40 x 50 cm in
length, width and height respectively, to allow the float
switch to move freely.
When inserting the pump into water, it should be tilted
slightly to ensure water enters the turbine chamber.
This reduces the possibility of the pump taking in air
when it starts. If necessary, tilt the pump backwards and
forwards several times until no more air bubbles
appear.
Make sure the pump is stable and positioned so that the
suction base is not completely or partially blocked. It
should always be free of mud or other dirt.
If the level and water is too low, mud can harden quickly
and prevent the pump from starting. To ensure the
pump operates without a hitch, place the pump on top
of a concrete block or similar.
To submerge, lift or secure the pump, use a rope
attached to the support handle (5).
Water Outlet Hose Installation Instructions
1. Screw the water outlet hose adaptor (7) onto the
water outlet elbow (8);
2. Connect the hose to the adaptor;
AND
MAINTENANCE
The adaptor allows you to connect hoses with
diameters of 38mm (1 ½"), 25mm (1"), 19mm (3/4") and
13mm (1/2").
The hoses are attached to the adaptor through the slots,
according to their diameters.
However, we recommended that 38mm (1 ½ ") and
25mm (1") hoses are attached with an additional clamp.
The best results can be achieved when a 38mm (1½ ")
hose is used.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Submersible pumps are designed for personal use, in
your home or garden. Pumps are used to drain flood
water, transfer liquids, drain containers, draw water
from wells and mines or drain boats and yachts for a
limited period of time.
These pumps are fully submersible. They can be
submerged to the depth specified in the technical
specifications.
Once you have read the installation and assembly
instructions, you can start your new pump. Do so by
following these instructions carefully:
▪ Ensure that the pump is resting on the bottom of the
surface it will apply suction to;
▪ Ensure that the water outlet hose is properly
connected;
▪ Ensure that the mains voltage your pump is attached
to is 230 V / 50 Hz;
▪ Ensure that the electrical outlet is not damaged in
any way;
▪ Ensure that no moisture or water can reach the
electrical connection;
▪ Avoid running the pump dry;
