PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
SOLIDEX is an indirect veneering composite for metal based crowns
and bridges, inlays/onlays, veneers, anterior jacket crowns as well as
for temporary crowns and repair of indirect restorations intraorally and
extraorally. Application of METAL PHOTO PRIMER or PRIMER PASTE to
the metal surface enhances the bond strength between metal and SOLIDEX
materials. For characterization or modification of the restorations, light-curing
coloring paste, LITE ART, is recommended.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
¾ Metal based crowns and bridges
¾ Inlays/Onlays, Anterior jacket crowns, Laminate veneers
¾ Intraoral and extraoral repairs of metal based, composite or porcelain
crowns
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
1. Do not use this product on patients with known allergies to this material
and/or methacrylate monomer.
2. Operators with known allergies to this material and/or methacrylate
monomer must not use this product.
3. If any inflammation or other allergic reactions occur on either the patient
operator, immediately discontinue use and seek medical advice.
4. Do not this product on patients with malocclusion and bruxism
(clenching, grinding and tapping).
5. Do not handle uncured material of this product with bare hands. Use
plastic gloves and protective glasses to avoid contact with skin and/or
eyes. In case of accidental contact with skin, immediately blot with
alcohol moistened cotton ball. In case of contact with eyes, immediately
flush the eyes with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
6. Uncured material of this product has caused inflammation or other
allergic reactions when handled with bare hands.
7. Restorations placed in patients' mouths might stain or adhere plaque
due to their dietary habits. Give the patient proper instructions for daily
cleaning to avoid getting stained or plaque adhesion.
8. Since SOLI BOND and METAL PHOTO PRIMER are inflammable,
avoid any source of fire.
9. Use this material in well ventilated areas (several appropriate
ventilations per hour are recommended).
10. Use local dust extractor, dust protective mask, etc while grinding this
product to avoid harmful influence of the dust on the human body.
11. Follow the instructions for use of each dental material, instrument or
equipment used in conjunction with this product.
12. Do not use this product for any purposes other than specifically outlined
in these instructions for use.
13. Use this product within the expiration date indicated on the package.
(Example YYYY-MM-DD → Year-Month-Date of the expiration date)
14. This product is intended for use by dental professionals only.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Metal framework
In order to obtain an optimal shade, it is important to design the metal
framework according to the generally accepted guidelines. Apply
retention beads (100-200 μm) on the wax pattern before casting. When
using a silane bonding system, the application of retention beads can
be dispensed in areas with limited space.
2. Metal treatment
Sandblast with 50-100 μm aluminum oxide and then clean with either
steam or ultrasonic. Dry the surface with oil free air.
3. Bonding systems
Select (A) or (B) prior to the following opaque application.
(A) PRIMER PASTE - Primer paste is a metal bonding system and
first layer of opaque in one product. The milky dull paste has to
be applied evenly, that the retention beads are covered. Light
cure for 1-3 minutes in a light curing unit (420-500 nm) tested and
recommended by SHOFU INC.
(B) METAL PHOTO PRIMER - Apply a thin layer of metal primer over
the surface to be veneered with composite. Then dry for 30 - 60
seconds.
(C) SOLI BOND- This is a silane coupling agent which is used in
conjunction with silane bonding systems. e.g. Silicoater, Silicoater
MD (Heraeus Kulzer), or Rocatec (3M ESPE).
4. Opaque
When using METAL PHOTO PRIMER, it is necessary to apply the first
opaque (PRE-OPAQUE of SHOFU Universal Opaque) thinly. Light-
cure for 3-5 minutes. Mask the framework completely with subsequent
layers of shade opaque.
¾ When using SOLIDEX OPAQUE, apply a thin first layer, taking care
that the retention beads are fully covered.
¾ Color modification of the opaque: If more translucency is required in
the incisal or interproximal areas, InO or VrO can be used. Light-cure
for 3-5 minutes.
5. Base Paste
For bridge units, it is recommended that BASE paste is applied after
the first opaque layer to the base of the pontic area to the level of
the adjacent crown. Light-cure for 3-5 minutes. Then, cover with the
second opaque layer.
6. Cervical and Body
Apply Cervical and pre-cure for 1-3 minutes. Then apply Body into the
correct anatomical form. Light-cure for 1-3 minutes.
7. Incisal and Translucent
Apply Incisal to complete the anatomical form, and light-cure for 3
minutes.
If Translucent is used, apply Incisal first and light-cure for 1-3 minutes.
Then apply Translucent and finally light-cure for 3-5 minutes.
8. Adjusting
Polymerized surfaces must be roughened (e.g. sandblast with
aluminum oxide before further pastes are applied). Scrub off the dust
with a brush or compressed air. Do not clean with water or steam
cleaner. Apply a thin coat of CERAMAGE MODELLING LIQUID.
9. Finishing and Polishing
Use silicon carbide burs (Dura-Green Stones) or diamond burs for
contouring.
Then, polish with SoftCut PA/PB or AcryPoints PC2. Use DURA-
POLISH with a brush for pre polishing and DURA-POLISH DIA with a
leather/wool mops for high luster polishing.
NOTE ON USE
1. When storing these materials in a refrigerator, allow them to reach
room temperature before use.
2. Tightly close the cap after each use.
3. The paste dispensed onto the dish or paper pad should be shielded
from ambient light by a light-shielding cover to avoid unintended
polymerization of the material.
4. Do not use this product in places with intense light such as close to a
window or under the work light to avoid unintended polymerization of
the paste.
5. Base Paste is designed exclusively for pontics. Do not use for facing
crowns.

STORAGE
Store in a dark place at room temperature (1-30 °C/34-86 °F). Avoid high
temperatures and high humidity. Keep away from direct sunlight and any
source of ignition.

Lichthärtendes K+B Verblendkomposit
PRODUKTBESCHREIBUNG
SOLIDEX ist ein indirektes Komposit zur Verblendung von metallbasierten Kronen
und Brücken, Inlays/Onlays, Veneers und metallfreien Frontzahnkronen sowie zur
Herstellung temporärer Kronen und intra- und extraoralen Reparatur indirekter
Restaurationen. Die Vorbehandlung der Metalloberfläche mit METAL PHOTO
PRIMER oder PRIMER PASTE sorgt für optimale Haftfestigkeit zwischen Metallen
und SOLIDEX. Zur Charakterisierung oder Modifizierung der Restaurationen werden
die lichthärtenden Pastenmalfarben LITE ART empfohlen.

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN UND WARNHINWEISE
1. Das Produkt nicht bei Patienten mit bekannten Allergien gegen dieses Material
und/oder Methacrylatmonomere verwenden.
2. Anwender mit bekannten Allergien gegen dieses Material und/oder
Methacrylatmonomere dürfen das Produkt nicht benutzen.
3. Falls bei Patient oder Anwender Entzündungen oder andere allergische
Reaktionen auftreten, sofort den Gebrauch einstellen und ärztlichen Rat einholen.
4. Das Produkt nicht bei Patienten mit Malokklusion und Bruxismus (Pressen,
Knirschen und Klappern) verwenden.
5. Unpolymerisiertes Material dieses Produkts nicht mit bloßen Händen verarbeiten.
Schutzhandschuhe und Schutzbrille tragen, um einen Kontakt mit Haut und/oder
Augen zu vermeiden. Bei versehentlichem Hautkontakt sofort mit einem mit
Alkohol befeuchteten Wattebausch abtupfen. Bei Augenkontakt die Augen sofort
mit reichlich Wasser spülen und ärztlichen Rat einholen.
6. Bei der Verarbeitung von unpolymerisiertem Material dieses Produkts mit bloßen
Händen traten Entzündungen oder andere allergische Reaktionen auf.
7. Je nach den Ernährungsgewohnheiten des Patienten kann es bei der
Restauration zu Verfärbungen oder Plaque-Anlagerungen kommen. Den
Patienten zur korrekten täglichen Reinigung anleiten, um Verfärbungen oder
Plaque zu vermeiden.
8. SOLI BOND und METAL PHOTO PRIMER sind leicht entzündlich; von
Zündquellen fernhalten.
9. Das Material in gut belüfteten Räumen verwenden (es wird empfohlen, mehrmals
pro Stunde gut zu lüften).
10. Zum Schutz vor gesundheitsschädlichen Stäuben beim Beschleifen des Produkts
lokale Staubabsaugung, Staubmaske o.Ä. verwenden.
11. Bei allen zusammen mit diesem Produkt verwendeten dentalen Materialien,
Instrumenten oder Geräten die Gebrauchsanleitung beachten.
12. Das Produkt ausschließlich für die in diesem Beipackzettel genannten Aufgaben
verwenden.
13. Das Produkt nur bis zu dem auf der Packung angegebenen Verfallsdatum
verwenden.
(Beispiel JJJJ-MM-TT → Jahr-Monat-Tag des Verfallsdatums)
14. Das Produkt ist nur für den dentalen Gebrauch vorgesehen.
GEBRAUCHSANLEITUNG
1. Metallgerüst
Für eine optimale Farbgebung sollte das Metallgerüst nach den allgemein gültigen
Grundregeln gestaltet werden. Vor dem Gießen Retentionsperlen (100-200 µm)
auf das Wachsmodell aufbringen. Bei Silanisierung des Gerüsts kann in
Bereichen mit begrenztem Platz auf Retentionsperlen verzichtet werden.
2. Metall-Vorbehandlung
Mit Aluminiumoxid (50-100 µm) abstrahlen und dann mittels Dampf- oder
Ultraschallreiniger säubern. Anschließend mit ölfreier Druckluft trocknen.
3. Haftvermittler
Vor dem Opaker-Auftrag (A) oder (B) anwenden.
(A) PRIMER PASTE – Metallhaftvermittler und erste Opaker-Schicht in einem.
Die milchig-trübe Paste gleichmäßig auftragen, so dass die Retentionsperlen
bedeckt sind. Dann 1-3 Minuten in einem von SHOFU INC. getesteten und
empfohlenen Polymerisationsgerät (420-500 nm) lichthärten.
(B) METAL PHOTO PRIMER – Eine dünne Schicht dieses Metallprimers auf
die mit Komposit zu verblendende Fläche auftragen. Dann 30-60 Sekunden
trocknen lassen.
(C) SOLI BOND – Silan-Haftvermittler zur Verwendung in Kombination mit
verschiedenen Silanisierungssystemen, z.B. Silicoater, Silicoater MD
(Heraeus Kulzer) oder Rocatec (3M ESPE).
4. Opaker
Bei Verwendung von METAL PHOTO PRIMER muss die erste Opaker-Schicht
(PRE-OPAQUE von SHOFU Universal Opaque) dünn aufgetragen werden.
Anschließend 3-5 Minuten lichthärten. Mit den nachfolgenden Opaker-Schichten
das Gerüst vollständig abdecken.
¾ Bei Verwendung von SOLIDEX OPAQUE die erste Schicht dünn auftragen und
darauf achten, dass die Retentionsperlen vollständig bedeckt sind.
¾ Farbliche Modifizierung des Opakers: Falls inzisal oder approximal mehr
Transluzenz erforderlich ist, kann hier InO oder VrO verwendet werden.
Ebenfalls 3-5 Minuten lichthärten.
5. Basismasse
Bei Brücken wird empfohlen, nach Auftrag der ersten Opaker-Schicht die
Basisfläche des Brückenglieds mit Basismasse BASE auf das Niveau der
benachbarten Brückenankerkronen zu ergänzen. Die Masse 3-5 Minuten
lichthärten. Anschließend die zweite Opaker-Schicht auftragen.
6. Cervical und Body
Cervical auftragen und 1-3 Minuten zwischenhärten. Dann Body in der korrekten
anatomischen Form hinzufügen. Nochmals 1-3 Minuten lichthärten.
7. Incisal und Translucent
Mit Incisal die anatomische Form fertigstellen, 3 Minuten lichthärten.
Vor einer Verwendung von Translucent zunächst Incisal auftragen und 1-3
Minuten lichthärten. Dann Translucent auftragen und 3-5 Minuten abschließend
lichthärten.
8. Anpassungen
Die polymerisierten Oberflächen müssen vor dem Auftrag weiterer Massen
aufgeraut werden (z.B. durch Abstrahlen mit Aluminiumoxid). Mit Pinsel oder
Druckluft von Staub säubern. Nicht mit Wasser oder Dampf reinigen. Eine dünne
Schicht CERAMAGE MODELLING LIQUID auftragen.
9. Finieren und Polieren
Mit Siliziumcarbid-Instrumenten (Dura-Green Stones) oder Diamant-Instrumenten
konturieren.
Dann mit SoftCut PA/PB oder AcryPoints PC2 Polierern bearbeiten. Zuletzt mit
DURA-POLISH und Bürste vorpolieren und mit DURA-POLISH DIA und Leder-/
Wollschwabbel auf Hochglanz polieren.
HINWEISE ZUM GEBRAUCH
1. Im Kühlschrank gelagerte Materialien erst verarbeiten, wenn sie sich auf
Zimmertemperatur erwärmt haben.
2. Nach jedem Gebrauch die Verschlusskappe wieder fest anbringen.
3. Auf Mischblock oder -schale ausgebrachte Massen sollten mit einer
Lichtschutzkappe vor Umgebungslicht geschützt werden, damit es nicht zu einer
unbeabsichtigten Polymerisation kommt.
4. Das Produkt nicht bei starker Lichteinstrahlung verarbeiten, also z.B. nahe am
Fenster oder unter der Arbeitslampe, damit es nicht zu einer unbeabsichtigten
Polymerisation kommt.
5. Die Basismasse ist nur für Brückenglieder vorgesehen. Nicht zum Verblenden
von Kronen benutzen.

LAGERUNG
Bei Zimmertemperatur (1-30 °C) dunkel lagern. Hohe Temperaturen und hohe
Luftfeuchtigkeit vermeiden. Vor direkter Sonneneinstrahlung schützen und von
Zündquellen fernhalten.

Composite photopolymérisable pour Couronne et Bridge
DESCRIPTION
SOLIDEX est un composite de restauration indirecte pour couronnes et
bridges sur armature métallique, inlays/onlays, veneers et jackets. Il s'utilise
également pour les couronnes provisoires et les réparations de restaurations
indirectes, en intra ou extra-oral. L'utilisation du METAL PHOTO PRIMER ou
de la pâte PRIMER PASTE sur le métal renforce l'adhérence entre ce dernier
et le SOLIDEX. Pour modifier ou caractériser les restaurations l'emploi des
colorants polymérisables LITE ART est fortement recommandé.

PRECAUTIONS ET AVERTISSEMENTS
1. Ne pas utiliser ce produit sur des patients allergiques à ce matériau et/ou
au monomère méthacrylate.
2. Même chose pour les opérateurs.
3. En cas d'inflammation ou autre réaction allergique survenant sur le
patient ou l'opérateur, arrêter tout et consulter un médecin.
4. Ne pas utiliser ce produit sur des patients présentant une malocclusion et
sujets au bruxisme.
5. Ne pas manipuler le produit non polymérisé à main nue. Utiliser des gants
et des lunettes de protection. Eviter le contact du matériau avec la peau
ou les yeux. En cas de contact dermique, essuyer immédiatement avec
un coton imbibé d'alcool et bien rincer à l'eau courante. En cas de contact
oculaire, rincer immédiatement à l'eau courante et consulter un médecin.
6. Ce produit non polymérisé a déjà provoqué inflammation et réaction
allergique lors de manipulations à main nue.
7. Les restaurations portées en bouche, peuvent présenter des colorations
ou l'apparition de plaque, en fonction des habitudes alimentaires.
Donner des consignes d'hygiène précises au patient pour éviter ces
désagréments.
8. SOLIBOND et METAL PHOTO PRIMER étant inflammables, éviter toute
source d'ignition.
9. Utiliser le produit dans un local correctement ventilé (plusieurs
renouvellements d'air par heure).
10. Utiliser une aspiration locale, un masque anti-poussière etc. lors du
meulage du produit afin d'éviter toute influence néfaste pour le corps
humain.
11. Suivre le mode d'emploi de chaque matériau, instrument ou équipement
utilisé conjointement avec ce produit.
12. Ne pas utiliser ce produit pour un autre usage que celui indiqué dans le
présent mode d'emploi.
13. Utiliser ce produit avant la date d'expiration indiquée sur l'emballage.
(Exemple AAAA-MM-JJ → Année-Mois-Jour de la date d'expiration)
14. L'utilisation de ce produit est strictement réservée aux professionnels
dentaires.
MODE D'EMPLOI
1. Armature métallique
La forme de l'armature sera réalisée selon les règles habituelles afin
d'obtenir la teinte optimale de restauration. Poser des billes de rétention
(100-200 μm) sur la maquette en cire. Si l'on utilise un adhésif silane on
peut poser des billes dans les espaces réduits.
2. Traitement du métal
Sabler à l'alumine 50-100 μm et nettoyer à la vapeur ou aux ultrasons.
Sécher à l'air comprimé exempt d'huile.
3. Systèmes adhésifs
Sélectionner l'option (A) ou (B) avant de passer au chapitre opaque.
(A) PRIMER PASTE – La pâte Primer est à la fois un adhésif et une
première couche d'opaque en un seul produit. D'un laiteux mat,
elle s'applique uniformément et couvre les billes de rétention.
Photopolymériser pendant 1-3 minutes dans une enceinte, générant
une longueur d'onde de 420-500 nm, testée et recommandée par
SHOFU INC.
(B) METAL PHOTO PRIMER – En appliquer une fine couche sur la
surface qui recevra le composite puis laisser sécher pendant 30-60
secondes.
(C) SOLIBOND- C'est un silane qui s'utilise avec les systèmes de collage
tels que Silicoater, Silicoater MD (Heraeus Kulzer), ou Rocatec (3M
ESPE).
4. Opaque
Si l'on utilise le METAL PHOTO PRIMER, il est obligatoire d'appliquer une
fine première couche d'opaque (PRE-OPAQUE de l'Universal Opaque
SHOFU). Photopolymériser pendant 3-5 minutes. Masquer complètement
l'armature avec des couches d'opaques, teintées si nécessaires.
¾ En utilisant l'opaque SOLIDEX, la fine première couche doit
entièrement couvrir les billes de rétention.
¾ Modification de la teinte d'opaque: Pour plus de translucidité en zone
incisale ou interproximale, utiliser InO ou VrO. Photopolymériser 3-5
minutes.
5. Base Paste
Pour les bridges on recommande d'appliquer la pâte BASE après la
première couche d'opaque sur la base du pontic jusqu'au niveau des
couronnes adjacentes. Photopolymériser 3-5 minutes. Passer ensuite la
seconde couche d'opaque.
6. Cervical et Body
Monter le Cervical et pré polymériser 1-3 minutes. Puis monter la dentine
à la forme anatomique. Photopolymériser 1-3 minutes.
7. Incisal et Translucent
Monter l'Incisal pour compléter la forme anatomique et photopolymériser
3 minutes.
Si l'on utilise du Translucent, commencer par l'Incisal et photopolymériser
1-3 minutes. Puis utiliser le Translucent et photopolymériser au final 3-5
minutes.
8. Corrections
Les surfaces polymérisées doivent être dépolies (par ex. sablage à
l'alumine) avant de procéder à un ajout de pâte. Eliminer la poussière
au pinceau ou à l'air comprimé. Ne pas nettoyer à l'eau ou à la vapeur.
Appliquer une fine couche de liquide CERAMAGE MODELLING LIQUID.
9. Finition et polissage
Utiliser des fraises carbure (Dura-Green Stones) ou diamantées pour le
modelage.
Polir ensuite à l'aide de SoftCut PA/PB ou d'AcryPoints PC2. Utiliser les
pâtes DURA-POLISH sur une brosse pour le prépolissage et DURA-
POLISH DIA sur brossette en laine pour le lustrage.
REMARQUES
1. Si un produit est conservé au réfrigérateur, le laisser revenir à
température ambiante avant utilisation.
2. Bien remettre les capuchons en place immédiatement après usage.
3. La pâte mise sur plaque ou sur bloc de papier doit être protégée de la
lumière ambiante par un couvercle opaque afin d'éviter un début de
polymérisation du matériau.
4. Ne pas manipuler ce produit dans des endroits très lumineux tels la
proximité d'une fenêtre ou sous une lampe d'établi pour éviter toute
polymérisation intempestive.
5. La pâte BASE est exclusivement réservée aux pontics. Ne pas s'en servir
pour le montage des couronnes.
