• Do not use any electrical devices in potentially explosive areas, such as in the presence of
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Electrical devices generate sparks, which can ignite the dust
or exhaust fumes.
• Keep children and other people away when operating an electrical appliance. Distractions can
lead to a loss of control.
2.3 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• The plugs of electrical devices must be compatible with the socket. Do not change the plug
under any circumstances. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed electrical devices. Original
plugs and the matching sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid physical contact with earthed objects, such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body comes into contact with an earthed
object.
• Only use the cable for the purpose it is intended for. Never use the cable to carry, pull or
unplug the electrical appliance. Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or intertwined cables increase the risk of an electric shock.
• When operating an electrical appliance outdoors, use an extension cord that is suitable for
outdoor use. Using a cable that is suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of an electrical
shock.
• If it is unavoidable to operate an electrical appliance in a humid environment, use a ground
fault circuit interrupter for personal protection. Using an earth leakage circuit breaker reduces
the risk of electric shock.
2.4 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSERTION DEVICES
• Always assume that the power tool contains staples. Careless handling of the power tool can
result in the unexpected ejection of staples and injure you.
• Do not aim the power tool at yourself, other people or animals. Unexpected triggering will
cause a clamp to be ejected, which may result in injury.
• Do not operate the power tool until it is firmly seated on the workpiece. If the power tool is not
in contact with the workpiece, the clamp may bounce off the attachment point.
• Unplug the power tool if the clamp jams in the power tool. If the power tool is plugged in, it
may be accidentally actuated when removing a firmly seated clamp.
• Be careful when removing a tightly seated clamp. The system may be cocked and the clamp
forcefully ejected while you are trying to remove the jam.
• Do not use this power tool for fastening electrical conduit. It is not suitable for installing
electrical wiring and may damage the insulation of electrical cables, causing electric shock and
fire hazards.
• Secure the workpiece with clamps or vise, keep hands away from the workpiece.
• Never press on the tacker nose with your hand (accidental operation of the switch may cause
injury).
• Switch off the tool immediately or disconnect the mains plug from the socket in the event of
atypical behavior or extraneous noises.
• The manufacturer can only guarantee the proper functioning of the tool if original accessories
are used.
