5. Troubleshooting
Trouble/Malfunction
The unloaded winch rotates heavily
The load cannot be held
The load pressure brake does not function
6. Service
For servicing and/or servicing parts contact your nearest Gebuwin dealer. The exploded view diagram with regard to the servicing parts is available on our
website www.gebuwin.com. Orders for any necessary servicing parts can also be placed on the website.
Use original servicing parts only, correct functioning cannot otherwise be guaranteed!
7. Environment
At the end of the winch's lifespan, the various winch parts must be disposed of according to the current environmental regulations.
8. Guarantee
Gebuwin B.V. gives a 1-year warranty on material and manufacturing defects of Gebuwin winches. When using Gebuwin certified cables, the warranty is
extended to 2 years.
The warranty does not cover wear and tear or damage resulting from a lack of regular or periodic maintenance. It does not cover damage due to inadequate
supervision, incorrect actions and incorrect use of the equipment, in particular in the event of overload, slanting, under or overvoltage or incorrect connection.
The warranty does not apply to any disassembly, modification or replacement of mechanical or electrical parts without our permission or by an unauthorized
person. The warranty only applies to manufacturer's parts. During the warranty, the seller must replace or repair the parts recognized as defective after
examination by his/her qualified and authorized service. This must be done for free.
Cause

no grease on the gearing
dirt on the gearing

during mounting the winch has pulled askew

the cable has been incorrectly wound round
the drum which means the crank turning
direction is incorrect

the brake discs are either worn down or faulty
-
braking mechanism and/or discs are jammed
due to infrequent use
Solution
-
apply grease
clean with a detergent and re-grease
-
-
level the mounting surface and re-mount the
winch
-
wind the cable correctly around the drum
-
check and/or renew the brake discs
-
loosen the brake by hitting the crank in the
correct turning direction with the flat of the hand
