INTRODUCTION
Before using your wheelchair, please read this user manual carefully. Incorrect use of the wheelchair may
lead to health damage, injury or accidents. Thus, in order to use the wheelchair safely and successfully,
please read this manual carefully.
SAFETY
The safest opera on of the product is on a fl at surface free of any obstacles. If possible, always use ramps
when entering or leaving a building. Keeping your hands on the grip rims allows maximum balance.
Leaning
Do not lean over the side of the wheelchair as this can lead to loss of balance and falling.
Moving up hills
- Do not turn while moving on hills because of the risk of pping over.
- The a endant should not push the wheelchair on hills diagonally.
- If the wheelchair user is going up a hill on his own, he should avoid moving on the hill diagonally.
- If it is necessary to go down a steep hill, the a endant should walk backwards with the wheelchair above
him.
- If the user is going down a hill on his own, he should control the speed of the wheelchair at all mes and not
allow the product to overspeed. If necessary, another person should provide an assistance.
Kerbs
- If possible, always be assisted by a carer (if moving with a carer, the wheelchair must be provided with push
handles).
- Avoid strong shocks when moving down off the kerb. Shocks can damage the product.
- Do not under any circumstances a empt to move onto high kerbs.
- Always exercise cau on when passing kerbs or making turns on hills and never move backwards on a
wheelchair without assistance from a carer.
Stairs
- Always have the assistance of two or more carers. Tilt the product slightly backwards for balance.
- Do not climb the stairs with the wheelchair.
- Do not use escalators. Use a li .
General informa on
- Always check that BOTH brakes are blocked when ge ng in or out of the wheelchair.
- Do not stand on the footrests when ge ng on or off the product.
- It is not permi ed to carry more than one passenger. Wheelchairs are designed for one user.
- Please take care that clothing does not block the wheels of the wheelchair.
Upholstery
- Use warm soapy water to clean the upholstery.
- Upholstery cleaner/foam can also be used, but avoid using solvents.
- Keep the wheelchair away from sources of fi re that may cause injury to the user and damage the product.
CAUTION:
In the event of a device-related 'serious incident' that has directly or indirectly led to, could have led to or
may lead to any of the following:
(a) death of the pa ent, user or other person, or
(b) temporary or permanent deteriora on of the health of a pa ent, user or other person, or
(c) a serious risk to public health
the above 'serious incident' must be no fi ed to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the
Member State in which the user or pa ent is resident. In the case of Poland, the competent authority is the
Offi ce for Registra on of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices and Biocidal Products.
NOTES:
In the event of pain, allergic reac ons or other disturbing symptoms unclear to the user related to the use of
the medical device, consult a healthcare professional.
ATTENTION: The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for damage caused by negligent maintenance,
inadequate servicing or as a result of not following the instruc ons in this manual.
