Quick start – Rear panel
(31) Z INPUT
This input is used to modulate the trace brightness via an external signal.
A (+) signal reduces the brightness; a (-) signal increases it.
(32) YA OUTPUT
Replica of the YA 20 mV/div. input signal, e.g. for feeding into a frequency
meter.
(33) FUSE HOLDER / VOLTAGE SELECTOR (see 2.1. Installation)

Use the oscilloscope in display and voltmeter mode.
Shunt connection
Before: All pushbuttons in up position (pulled out)

SCREEN BRIGHTNESS and ILLUMINATION low
•
VERTICAL and HORIZ POSITION at mid range
•
TRIGGERING on AUTO and INT
•
VARIABLE knobs in CAL position
Oscilloscope power-up
Settings:
•
reasonable BRIGHTNESS
•
SHARPNESS on the finest trace
•
VERTICAL YA lever on O, adjust POSITION (trace on axis)
•
HORIZ POSITION as required
