Using the Machine
NOTE:
This device should only be used for ironing garments and
textiles.
Remove any protective films and adhesive labels from the
stainless steel soleplate before using the appliance. Completely
unwind the line cord.
Electrical connection
NOTE:
Always set the temperature control (1) to "min" before con-
necting the appliance to a power point, or before disconnect-
ing it.

Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the
line voltage match.
•
Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety
socket, 230 V/50 Hz.
NOTE:
Always pull the plug out of the socket after using the iron.
Ironing without steam
1. Empty the water tank if necessary.
2. Place the iron on its stand (9).
3. Sort out the garments according to their ironing tempera-
tures. Start with the lower temperatures. It is set with the
thermostat (1):

4. The control lamp (2) lights up. As soon as it shuts off, the
set temperature is reached. Now you can start to iron.
Steam Ironing
•
Steam is produced by means of the steam jet function (3).
•
For steam ironing the tank must be full and a high tempera-
ture selected, e.g. cotton or linen.
WARNING:
The steam is hot. Danger of scalding!
NOTE:
If you would like to iron subsequently without steam again or
at a lower temperature, the water tank has to be emptied.
Refilling the water tank
•
Always disconnect the mains plug before refilling water.
•
Open the lid of the refill inlet (6) and carefully pour in the
water. Do not exceed the maximum line as marked on the
water reservoir.
Vertical Steam
This can be used to produce a jet of steam in a vertical direc-
tion.
To avoid excess water leaking from the soleplate do not
operate the steam burst for more than 5 seconds without
interruption.

CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibility and low
voltage directives, and has been constructed in accordance
with the latest safety regulations.
NOTE:
Cleaning and Storage
Always remove the mains lead before cleaning.
Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth.
Clean the iron with a slightly humid cloth.
Empty the water tank in order to prevent its contents from
leaking.
WARNING:
The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on
the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance
is used.
Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available
decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use
the quantities stated in the instructions.
