Use
Installation of the new clutch
1.
Remove the gearbox and the old clutch of your vehicle according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
Tip: Also check the condition of the flywheel for wear or other damage. If
necessary, the flywheel must be replaced.
2.
Select the correct centring mandrel (3 – 5) for your clutch plate.
3.
Attach 3 or 4 matching threaded bolts (14 – 18) with the short threaded side in the
flywheel and tighten the threaded bolts finger-tight.
4.
Connect the pressure spindle (9) and the two-piece handle (10) and the 3- or 4-
arm cross rail (1/2).
5.
Place the construction on the threaded bolts (14 – 18) and secure them with the
knurled nuts (8).
6.
Push the clutch pressure plate diaphragm spring with the spindle until it stops.
7.
Screw the clutch pressure plate mounting screws into the free flywheel thread
receptacles.
8.
Now turn the spindle back completely and remove the knurled nuts (8), the 3- or 4-
arm cross rail (1/2) and the threaded bolts (14 – 18).
9.
Screw the missing mounting screws and tighten them to the torque specified by
the vehicle manufacturer.
Resetting of the adjusting ring
Caution! When using a new clutch plate with a used clutch pressure plate, it is
necessary to reset the adjusting ring of the clutch pressure plate.
1.
Follow steps 1 to 5 from the text above.
2.
Press the clutch pressure plate diaphragm spring with the spindle until the
adjusting ring turns to the right.
3.
Now reset the adjusting ring using the reset tool (11).
Tip: Do not exert excessive force with the reset tool. This could damage
the adjusting ring.
4.
The spindle can now be released and the reset tool and all other components can
be removed.
