Driving
47.
When transporting objects in the rear of the vehicle, the speed shall be adapted to objective
conditions such as road conditions, road surface, crosswind conditions, general traffic levels,
etc., but in no case shall it exceed 130 km/h. Speed limits and other specific local traffic regu-
lations shall always be respected.
48.
When there are speed bumps on the road, the speed must be reduced and in no case exceed
10 km/h.
49.
The correct securing of the load must be checked regularly. If any unusual noise or movement
of the product or load is noticed, stop and check that the product and load are securely secu-
red according to the assembly instructions.
50.
Depending on the vehicle, the load carrier, bike carrier and/or rear accessory and the load, the
rear lights may be obscured. Depending on local traffic regulations and if the load carrier, bike
carrier and/or rear accessory does not have lights, it may be necessary to install an external
illuminated license plate or license plate holder with lights. Check and comply with local traffic
regulations before driving.
51.
Depending on local traffic regulations, it may be necessary to carry an additional license plate.
This must be placed in the specific location on the load carrier, bike carrier or rear accessory
following the assembly instructions. In the case of load carriers, bike carriers or rear accesso-
ries that do not have such a specific location, it will be necessary to install an external license
plate holder with lights.
52.
The driver must foresee the differences in the behaviour of the vehicle when braking, corner-
ing and because of side winds.
53.
Sudden braking, abrupt starting off and rapid cornering shall be avoided where possible.
54.
Products with locks must always be locked when driving.
55.
The load carrier, bike carrier and/or rear accessory must be removed before entering the vehi-
cle wash facility.
56.
After stops, where the vehicle has been left unattended, all freely accessible elements of the
product and load must be checked for strength and functionality (inspection for harmful exter-
nal influences).
57.
For reasons of fuel economy, environmental impact and the safety of other road users, the load
carrier, bike carrier or rear accessory must be removed from the vehicle when not in use.
58.
When driving with the load carrier, bike carrier or rear accessory with or without load and
turning, passing, reversing, parking, etc., it is imperative to observe the significant increase in
vehicle length. Failure to do so may result in a collision and may cause property damage and/
or personal injury.
59.
It is recommended that the load never exceeds the width of the vehicle and, in any case, local
traffic regulations must always be respected.
Maintenance
60.
Keep the product always in good condition. Mobile pieces must be lubricated. Replace worn
and defective pieces. Clean and maintain always the product. The user is the only responsible
for keeping the condition and security of the product.
