Installation of the thermostat
• The thermostat must be installed on a wall that is free from
obstructions It must be installed so as to be easily accessible.
• The 228 thermostat can be directly installed on a fl at, horizontal
surface.
• Comply with the following points:
• Avoid the vicinity of electrical cables, strong magnetic fi elds or
devices such as PCs, TVs, microwave ovens, etc.
• Avoid proximity with large metal objects or construction
components incorporating metal mesh (glass or special concrete,
for example).
• The distance between the generator and the thermostat should not
exceed 30m or 2 fl oors. Otherwise, the use of one or more repeaters
may be necessary.
• Do not install the device inside a metal casing (heat pump or boiler).
• Avoid sources of direct heat (chimney, television, cooker, sunlight)
and areas exposed to draughts (ventilation, doors).
