Connecting the record player earth GND
If your record player has its own ground line (usually a thin, black cable with clamp-type socket), connect
it to connection terminal GND (25). This helps prevent humming distortion.
Connecting the voltage supply
The mixer and all connected devices have to be switched off.
Make sure that all electrical connections and connection cables between the different devices
and any extension cables comply with the regulations and the operating instructions.
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the enclosed power unit to the AC 12 V connection (20).
• Plug the power unit into a (230-240 V/50 Hz) mains socket.
9. Start-Up
Do not turn on the device before you have read and understood these operating instructions.
Check again that all connections are correct.
a) Switching the Mixing Desk On and Off
Not observing the following sequence when switching the mixer on and off could damage the
speakers or the amplifier.
Switching on the Devices
• Make sure that all channel faders (3, 5 and 7) are set to minimum volume (channel fader pulled right back
to the lowest point).
• First switch on the playback devices connected to the mixer.
• Turn the mixing desk on with the POWER switch (10).
• Switch the connected amplifier on. The mixer is now ready for operation.
Switching off the Devices
• To switch off the mixer, first slide all channel faders (3, 5 and 7) on the mixing desk all the way down and
then set the volume at the amplifier to a minimum.
• Switch off the amplifier.
• Then, switch off the mixer using the POWER switch (10) and then the playback devices (record player, CD
player etc.).
• If you do not require the mixer for a longer period, unplug the power supply unit from the socket.
