1/2" DRIVE IMPACT WRENCH
Description
This air impact wrench is designed for removing and installing nuts and
bolts. With
a one-hammer
(Rocking Dog) impact mechanism this tool
is used as a general purpose tool by DIYers and hobbyists.
General Safety
1.
This impact wrench is part of a high pressure system.
WARNING: Do not exceed maximum operating pressure of the
air tool (6,3 bar). The impact wrench could explode and result in
death or serious injury.
2.
Disconnect the impact wrench from air compressor before
changing tools or accessory, servicing and during non-operation.
3.
Always wear safety glasses and use hearing protection during
operation.
4.
Do not wear loose fitting clothing and jewellery which may be
caught in moving parts and result in serious injury.
5.
Do not depress trigger when connecting the air hose.
6.
Always use
accessory
fittings designed for use with air tools.
WARNING: Use impact-quality sockets only. Do not use hand-
tool sockets, damaged or worn accessory.
7.
Never trigger the tool when the tool is not applied to a work
object. Accessories must be securely attached.
8.
Make sure all connections are secure and check air hoses for
weak or worn condition before each use.
9.
WARNING: Disconnect air supply before any installing or
maintenance.
10. Keep pneumatic tools safe from children.
11. Always concentrate while you work. Do not work if you are tired.
12. Never use oxygen or combustible gases as an energy source.
13. Use only original spare parts.
14. Never allow the tool to run unloaded at full idle speed for any
length of time.
15. A continuous use of vibrating tools can cause damage to your
hands and arms.
Maintenance Tips
This impact wrench requires lubrication BEFORE and AFTER each
use, including the initial use, throughout its life.
Fig. A
Air motor Lubrication: (refer to page 3)
1. WARNING: Disconnect the impact wrench from the air supply (2)
and hold the tool upside down.
2. Pull the trigger (4), put one teaspoon of air tool oil in the air inlet
(fig. A) , and then push the reverse control (5) in both directions to
help circulate oil in the motor.
3. Reconnect the impact wrench to the air supply (2) and cover the
exhaust port with a towel and run in both the forward and reverse
directions for 20 seconds. Oil will discharge from the exhaust port
when air pressure is applied (fig. B) . WARNING: Any excess oil
in the motor is immediately expelled from the exhaust port. Always
direct the exhaust port away from people or objects.
Impact Mechanism Lubrication: (refer to page 3)
1.
WARNING: Disconnect air impact wrench from the air supply (2).
2.
Remove the hexagonal head screw from the oil port hole on the
right side of the tool that has "OIL" (fig. C).
3.
Put three teaspoons of air tool oil in the oil port. Then replace the
screw (1).
4.
Reconnect the impact wrench with the air supply (2) and run for
20 seconds. Lubricate the whole impact mechanism by rotating
the tool upside down and sideways while running the tool.
5.
Remove the screw (1) and hold the oil porthole over a container
to allow excess oil to drain.
6.
If the oil is dirty, repeat the procedure above until the oil comes
out clear.
remaining in the impact mechanism chamber is all that is needed
for proper lubrication.
Operation
Before each use, drain water out of air compressor tank and
condensation from air lines. After clearing air compressor moisture and
lubricating the impact wrench, connect it to an air hose of a
recommended size.
Speed Adjustment: This impact wrench is equipped with a regulator for
speed adjustment.
The screwdriver's direction of rotation can be reversed.
WARNING: The impact wrench should never be used to set torque.
Use a torque wrench to set the torque.
To remove nuts, set the regulator to the maximum setting. To install
nuts, set the regulator to the minimum to medium setting. Do not over-
tighten the nuts.
Always use clean dry air as excessive moisture will lower the available
torque and rust the interior moving parts.
IMPORTANT: When securing wheel nuts it is important to set the
regulator to the minimum setting, and then use a torque wrench to set
fastener torque. Wheel nuts must be tightened to the vehicle
manufacturer's recommendations.
Air Supply
Air supply MUST be greater than air requirement of the tool. The use
of air filters and airline lubricators is recommended.
Air Hose: 3M or 7.5M length hoses with 5mm I.D and 1/4" threads are
recommended. However, hoses longer than 7.5M should use 10mm or
even 12mm I.D for proper performance and more convenience. Using
air hoses which are too small can create a pressure drop and reduce
the power of the impact wrench.
WARNING: Keep hoses away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Replace any hose that is damaged, weak or worn. Never carry a tool
by the hose or pull the hose to move the tool or a compressor.
The use of air filters and airline lubricators is recommended.
Storage
Fig. B
The impact wrench must be lubricated before storing. Follow the air
motor lubrication instructions. Only run for 3 seconds instead of 20
seconds because more oil needs to remain in the tool when storing.

Install and tighten the screw.
