12. Troubleshooting
Fault
Engine does not start
Generator has too little or no
voltage
Cause
- Oil pressure switch tripped (red
LED (Fig. 2/Item 8))
- No diesel fuel
- Mechanical switch (Fig. 6/Item
A) set to "STOP"
out door temperature
- Battery voltage too low
- Controller or capacitor defective
- Overcurrent circuit-breaker has
tripped
- Carbon brushes in generator
worn
Remedy
- Check oil level, top up with
engine oil
- Top up with diesel fuel
- Set mechanical switch to "RUN"
- Proceed as described in the
point entitled "Winter operation"
- Charge the battery
- Contact authorized after-sales
service outlet
- Press the switch and reduce the
consumers
- Contact authorized after-sales
