Precautions before use
To reduce the risk of injury to the operator and patient, and to ensure an appropriate environment for
product operation, please follow the manufacturer's instructions below.
CAUTION
Precautions informs you of information that can cause serious risk to the operator and patient and
damage to the device if the device is not used correctly. The manufacturer is not responsible of any
injury or damage if the user did not follow the user manual.
 
2.1 Precautions for use
1. Warning
1) Electromagnetic waves or other medical equipment used in hospitals may cause malfunction of
the device or affect other medical equipment.
2) To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not open, disassemble or repair the handpiece or charger.
Use only the dedicated charger and adapter provided by DiaDent.
3) Do not use in the presence of explosives and combustible materials.
4) Use only genuine components and parts provided by DiaDent. The use of non-genuine components
and parts may cause product damage, accidents, or malfunction, and the manufacturer is not
responsible.
5) If any malfunction or abnormality is found, stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer.
6) Do not use this device on patients with pacemakers.
2. General Cautions
1) This product is intended for use only by trained and certified dentists or endodontic specialists
for the intended purpose. If it is used by a user not mentioned in this manual or used for an
unspecified purpose, the manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage.
2) Before use on a patient, the user must have a good understanding of this device and operating
techniques.
3) To avoid the risk of patient injury, do not allow patients to touch or operate the product.
4) This product is not waterproof. Do not spray with or immerse the handpiece, charger, or adapter
in any liquid.
5) For safe use, do not use continuously and follow the specified duty cycle (refer to 13. Specifications).
6) Keep solvents, flammable liquids, and sources of intense heat away from the device as they may
damage the plastic housing of the device, the seals or the operating buttons.
7) Do not allow any cleaning agents to enter the device during cleaning as they could cause an
electrical short or a dangerous malfunction.
3. Precautions for application
1) If the ultrasonic tip is damaged or fractured, discontinue use immediately.
2) Always use caution as there is a risk that fragments may enter the root canal if the ultrasonic tip
is damaged.
3) Do not apply strong shocks or vibrations to the handpiece. Tighten the ultrasonic tip securely
using the provided wrench. (Incorrect tightening may cause malfunctions and poor performance.)
4) Do not operate the device without any liquid. This will cause ultrasonic tip fracture.
5) Replace the ultrasonic tip with a new ultrasonic tip periodically. The recommended ultrasonic tip

replacement cycle is within 500 cycles or within 3 months.
6) Be sure to sterilize the ultrasonic tip before use to avoid contamination and cross infection. For
sterilization method, refer to 8. Cleaning, Sterilization and Maintenance.
7) Do not touch the ultrasonic tip with your hands during operation. Heat can cause burns.
8) The tip of the ultrasonic tip is sharp. When moving the handpiece, be careful not to injure the
body of the doctor, patient, or others, and be careful not to injure the patient's root canal during
the procedure.
Do not operate without liquid and do not touch the ultrasonic tip during operation. It may
cause burns.
2.2 Storage conditions
1) For the best use of the equipment, it must be stored under the following environmental conditions.
It may cause product malfunction or fire.
- Store away from any liquid.
- Do not store in a place where there is a risk of being adversely affected by sunlight, dust, salt, or
air containing sulfur.

2) Be sure to clean it thoroughly so that it does not interfere with the next use.
3) If any malfunction or abnormality is found, stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer.
4) When not in use for a long time, do not store the battery in a discharged state. Store the charger
and handpiece separated and unplug the power adapter.
This product has been designed to provide adequate protection from harmful interference to
the operation and installation of general medical devices as a device that has been tested for
electromagnetic compatibility in accordance with IEC60601-1-2. This product generates, uses,
and can radiate radio frequency energy and may cause harmful interference to other devices
in the vicinity.
If the use of this product does cause harmful interference to other devices, the user is
encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Change the location of the receiver.
- Maintain a distance between this product and the device causing the interference.
- Contact the place of purchase or manufacturer.
- T he battery of this product has completed the battery transportation test (UN DOT.38.3) and
battery safety test (IEC 62133-2).
CAUTION
Potential electromagnetic waves or effects of other medical devices used in hospitals/clinics may
cause malfunctions or adversely affect other medical devices.
