ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. Packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with
the environment. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information.
USE
Secondary Sprocket Mounting Tool,
to be used as OEM 116180
Put the sprockets on the mounting tool.
Be sure that the position of the tooth gap (A) is
aligned correctly.
Remove sprockets with chain from the tool.
Make sure that the position of the chain on the
sprockets do not changed and put the sprockets
and the chain onto the engine.
VANOS Adjusting Tool,
to be used as OEM 116150
Remove the gasket and fit the tool (2) (without
gasket fitted) and ensure tool is in full contact with
the cylinder head. Fit and tighten bolts to secure
the tool.
Air pressure adaptor,
to be used as OEM 113450
Unscrew the oil pressure pipe to the Vanos unit.
Insert tool (3) and connect a compressed air
supply to pressurize the Vanos unit between 2
and 8 bar.
WARNING: Some oil may be forced out of the
Vanos unit when compressed air is introduced.
Cover with a suitable cloth.
