After frequent use, the battery may run down. Have you replaced the battery? Then return the empty
battery to a collection point.
4.2.2. Placing the lava stones
Once you have positioned the fire pit properly, you can place the lava stones in the
burner. Lava stones are included with every fire pit. Take the lava stones without grit
by hand, otherwise the burner holes may get clogged. Carefully place the lava stones
in and on the burner. Keep the ignition unit free of lava stones.
If you want to reorder the glass or lava rocks, this is possible at your purchase
address. Do you want to replace one of the glass panels on the Cosipillar? Use two
hands to lift the top frame from the glass. Remove the damaged panel from the
Cosipillar and insert the new glass. Then use two hands again to put the top back on
the Cosipillar, and apply slight pressure to make sure that it is firmly in place.
4.2.3. Inserting or replacing the gas cylinder
Have you purchased a gas cylinder with the correct dimensions (see point 6. 'Technical specifications')? Then
you can connect the burner's gas pressure regulator to the gas cylinder. This is done as follows: fit the gas
pressure regulator to the gas cylinder. Tighten the nut of the gas pressure regulator by hand, not with other
tools.
You can then place the gas cylinder in the gas cylinder unit of the fire pit. However, this is not mandatory. You
can also choose to place the gas cylinder outside of the device.
-
Inserting the gas cylinder into the device
1.
One side of the Cosipillar features a gas cylinder unit. Open the door by pushing the top left
corner. Always place the gas cylinder upright on the steel frame. The gas cylinder must never be
placed lying down or tilted in the device. You can use the black strap to fasten the canister
against the side wall. This will reduce the likelihood of the gas cylinder tipping over.
2.
Make sure the gas cylinder is connected to the included gas pressure regulator and open the
gas cylinder valve when you want to use the fire pit.
3.
Make sure the gas hose is always bent down towards the gas cylinder. Make sure the gas hose
is never pressed against hot surfaces of the device.
4.
Are you not using the fire pit? Then always turn off the gas supply on the burner and gas valve
on the gas cylinder.
-
Placing the gas cylinder outside the device
Do you not want to put the gas cylinder inside the fire pit because you are using a gas cylinder with a
larger capacity than specified, for example? Then you can also place the gas cylinder outside of the fire
pit. You do this in the following way:
1.
The gas hose can be guided outside of the Cosipillar by guiding it underneath the base of the
Cosipillar or by guiding it through the door (this means the door will not close).
2.
The included gas hose is 1.5 m long. So, place the gas cylinder at a maximum distance of 1
metre from the fire pit. Do not place the gas hose openly across the terrace. After all, people or
pets can trip over the gas hose. Therefore, always place the gas cylinder in a place where
people do not walk and where children and pets cannot reach.
3.
Make sure the gas cylinder is connected to the included gas pressure regulator and open the
gas cylinder valve when you want to use the fire pit.
4.
Are you not using the fire pit? Then always turn off the gas supply on the burner and gas valve
on the gas cylinder.
Is the gas cylinder empty and do you need to replace it? Make sure the gas valve is closed at all times and twist
the gas pressure regulator off the gas cylinder by hand. Also make sure the fire pit and the lava stones have
cooled down completely! Remove the old cylinder and, if necessary, connect the new gas cylinder directly to the
gas pressure regulator, using the description above. You can exchange the empty cylinder or have it filled at your
local gas supplier. After fitting a new cylinder, always check all gas connections for leaks (see point 5.5.).
