Basic Safety Instructions
• The appliance is intended to be used in household only and similar environments like:
– staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments,
– in farm houses,
– by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
– on bed and breakfast type environments.
• Repairs of Cloer electronics appliances should be carried out only by authorized Cloer specialist
dealers or by the Cloer customer service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for
the user. Moreover, this will void your warranty claims.
• Operate the appliance only at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage
stated on the type plate is up to that of your power supply network.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cloer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid damage.
• Pull power plug of the power socket
– in case of a defect.
– if the appliance is not used for a longer time
– before any cleaning
– if the unit is not monitored,
– before each assembly or disassembly
– before you remove the cover.
• Do not stretch the feed cable over sharp edges and do not tighten it too tight, do not use it for
carrying and protect it from heat (hotplate, for example).
• This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• This appliance must not be used by children. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children to ensure they do not play with it.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water.
• Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away.
• Protect the appliance from humidity (splashing water or rain)
• Do not immerse appliance in water or any other liquids.
• Never operate the grinder when it is empty, as this could cause the motor to overheat.
• Never place the grinder on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stove tops, etc.).
• Do not remove the lid before the grinding blades have stopped moving
• ATTENTION: the blades of the coffee grinder are very sharp: risk of injury!
• The grinder is designed only to grind coffee beans. Do not fill in other food (nuts, beans, etc.)
or liquids.
• ATTENTION: do not fill the container over the edge with coffee beans.
• After using the device, clean all surfaces / parts that have come into contact with food.
