When you turn on the machine for the first time, the
Setup Guide starts up on the control panel. Perform

the initial machine setup by following the on-screen
instructions.

Select the language.

Set an Administrator password to increase machine
security.
* Do not forget your PIN.

Check the message and press

Select <Yes>.
To continue without setting a password, select
<No> and proceed to "Specifying the Network
Settings".

Enter a password and select <Apply>.
Enter the same password again and select <Apply>.

Settings
Specify the settings for connecting the machine to a
network. Before proceeding, check that the computer and
router are correctly connected to the network.
Wired LAN
1.
Select <Wired LAN>.
2.
Connect the LAN cable.
Wait a few minutes while the machine's IP address
is automatically set.
Wireless LAN
The example described in this document is for the <SSID
Settings>. See the User's Guide for information on other
configuration procedures.
1.
Check the router's "SSID"* and "Network
key".
SSID
: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Network key
: XXXXXXXXXXXX
*: SSID is the name used to identify the wireless
LAN router. This may be listed as the access point
name or network name.

Select <Wireless LAN>.
3.
Check the message and press

Select <SSID Settings>.
