m Conduct or clean suctioned air in such a way that asbestos
fibres do not get into the breathable air of other employees.
Accumulated dust must be transported in dust-tight contai-
ners.
m Asbestos fibre content of the discharged air must not ex-
ceed 1000 F/m3 (type-tested dedusters meet this criterion)
m Supply the work area with sufficient outside air (fresh air)
m Industrial vacuum cleaners and portable dedusters in ac-
cordance with TRGS519 no. 7 are allowed to be used for
the following applications:
1. Activities with low exposure according to no. 2.8 in enc-
losed spaces or work of low scope according to no. 2.10.
2. Cleaning work
m After operating the vacuum cleaner in the contaminated
area according to TRGS 519 (black area), the vacuum
cleaner is not allowed to be used any longer in the uncon-
taminated area (white area). Exceptions are only permitted
if the vacuum cleaner has been completely decontami-
nated beforehand by a experienced person according to
TRGS 519 no. 2.7 (outside and complete motor housing,
for motors with bypass cooling also the cooling air ducts).
