2.4. Safety during transportation
a)
Slow-moving vehicles, self-propelled machinery and towed equipment can
pose hazards when driven on public roads. Consider that it may be difficult to
see such vehicles early enough to make a proper maneuver, especially at night.
b)
Observe the regulations in effect at the place of use.
c)
The maximum transport speed of the unit is 30 km/h. DO NOT exceed the
speed limit. Never drive at a speed that does not allow for proper steering and
stopping. Some rough terrain requires a lower speed.
d)
Sudden braking may cause the towed load to twist and come loose. Reduce
speed if the towed load is not equipped with brakes.
e)
Use the following maximum speed ratings for the towed equipment as a
guideline:
f)
Do not tow a load that is more than twice the weight of the mower.
3.
Use guidelines
The machine is designed to mulch plant residues generated by field work,
viticulture, orchard work, and is also used to clean other agricultural, municipal or
infrastructural surfaces.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from unintended use of the device.
3.1. Assembly & Set-up
Tractor Requirements
Tractor horsepower and hitch category should be within the range noted below.
Tractors outside the horsepower range must not be used. The lower 3-Point arms
must be stabilized to prevent side-to-side movement. Most tractors have sway
blocks or adjustable chains for this purpose.
Horsepower Rating: 35-85 HP
Hitch Type: 3-Point Cat. I and II
Rear PTO Speed 2,125 RPM
Tractor Weight: See Important Note Below
Tractor Hook-up
Refer to Figure 1-2:
1. Be certain tractor draw bar does not interfere. Move draw bar ahead or
remove if required. Draw bar should also be checked for clearance when unit
is raised for the first time.
2. Remove all three clevis hitch pins.
30 km/h when the weight is less than or equal to that of the mower.
15 km/h when the weight is twice that of the mower.
