The LED rings on the GN 15/30/50 E operate off phan-
tom power.
If you connected the microphone correctly, the LED will
be lit at moderate intensity as soon as you switch the sys-
tem and phantom power on. This indicates that the sys-
tem is correctly wired and ready to operate but NOT
that the microphone channel is open.
The DPA phantom power adapter provides a 6-dB/octave
bass cut filter below 200 Hz to reduce low-frequency
noise.
1. Before grasping the circuit board, touch a bare,
grounded metal part to discharge any static charge
that may have built up on your body. (Electrostatic
charges may damage electronic circuits.)
2. Remove jumper J1 from the circuit board of the phan-
tom power adapter.
