Before the first use
Remove all packaging material such as carton and foils.
Unroll the cord completely.
Clean the surface with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
If necessary boil some water, empty and rinse the water kettle afterwards to remove
production residues that might be inside. Always take care not to let water run into
the electric parts of the unit.
Place the unit on a stable, dry non-slip and heat resistant surface. Close the lid
properly.
Connect the appliance to the current.
How to use the water kettle
Caution! Danger of burning! The appliance gets very hot during operation. During
operation of electrical caloric appliances, high temperatures – by boiling water, hot
steam or hot body – are generated, which may cause injuries. Only touch the cool
touch handle to open or close! Never touch lid or housing!
Caution! This appliance may be used with the provided stand only.
Open the lid and fill in fresh water. The quantity of water filled in has to be between
MIN and MAX (you will find the level scale underneath the handle).
Close the lid firmly.
Switch-on the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF switch at I.
The kettle switches off automatically some seconds after the water has begun to boil.
Manual switch-off is possible at any time by pressing OFF switch (0).
If you want to re-boil the water, switch on the appliance again. The boiling process can
be interrupted at any time.
To open the lid, push the button at the top side of the handle. The lid will open up then.
To prevent scald injuries, pay attention that neither hot water nor hot steam escape.
The appliance is protected by a security system, which automatically switches off the
kettle, if it is switched on by mistake without water or with not enough water (protection
against dry running).
You may switch-off manually at any time.
After each use for safety reason unplug the appliance
Cleaning and maintenance
Wipe the unit only with a damp cloth. Furring up is a common problem in hard water areas,
and it is recommended that a de-scaling fluid is used to remove the deposits.
The guarantee covers manufacturing and material faults whereas limestone removing as
part of cleaning and maintenance is not covered.
Decalcification
The decalcification interval depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of
use. Decalcification should be carried out every 1 – 3 month. Please use common
