About the control settings.
The chart below will help you match the wash cycle setting with your clothing.
(Some models will not have all of the wash cycles described below).

WHITES

COLOURS
Wash cycle designed for colourfast garments or lightly soiled light-coloured clothes.
EASY CARE/
For wrinkle-free and permanent press items, and knits.
PERMA PRESS

GENTLE WASH
SPEED CYCLE/
For lightly soiled items, or for quickly washing perspiration, stains, etc. out of clothes.
SHORT WASH
MIXED LOAD
For mixed loads of cotton and synthetic fabrics.
SPIN ONLY
The Spin Only cycle may be used to remove excess water from your clothes. This cycle may also be selected after a wash cycle
has completely finished to provide additional drying. If the tub still contains water when the spin cycle is selected, the washer
will drain first and then begin the spin cycle.
About washer features
The Fabric Softener Dispenser
The fabric softener dispenser automatically
releases liquid fabric softener at the proper
time during the cycle.
Do not stop the washer during the first spin.
This will cause the dispenser to empty
too soon.
NOTE: We recommend you clean the
dispenser periodically to prevent buildup.
Remove the dispenser from the top of the
agitator, soak it, and clean with a soft cloth.

Liquid Bleach Dispenser

The dispenser dilutes liquid chlorine bleach before it reaches into your wash load.
1
Check clothing care labels for special instructions.
2
Measure liquid bleach carefully, following instructions on the bottle.
■ Never pour undiluted liquid chlorine bleach directly onto clothes or into the wash basket.
■ Do not pour powdered bleach into bleach dispenser.
3
It is recommended that you pour diluted bleach directly into the dispenser 5 minutes
before the end of the wash stage, just before the rinse cycle.
■ Do not mix chlorine bleach with ammonia or acids such as vinegar and/or rust remover.
Mixing can produce a toxic gas which may cause death.
(depending on model)
