Safety notes

Risks of injury
• Attention! Risk of suffocation and injury! Keep the packag-
ing material and the device away from children and animals.
The device is not a toy!
• Children or persons with restricted physical, sensory or
mental abilities may not use this device unless they are su-
pervised by a person responsible for their safety.
• Keep children under 8 years of age and animals away from
the device and the connection line!
• The device gets hot when in use! Make sure that you do not
come into contact with hot surfaces; this particularly applies
for your ears, eyes, face and neck. Only hold the device by
the handle and maintain at least 3 cm of distance to the scalp.
• Never leave the device unattended when on or when con-
nected to the mains supply.
• Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a tripping
hazard. Do not set it down on the edge of tables or cabinets.
Someone could catch him/herself and pull down the device.
• Do not use the device when water or other liquids are near-
by (e.g. sinks, bath tubs, showers...) in order to avoid the
risk of electrical shock. Never use it while taking a bath or
shower! Always keep the device dry!

Fire hazard

• Keep fl ammable materials, e.g. cardboard, plastic or paper,
away from the device and never place the device on fl am-
mable objects or bases when operating.
• Do not use the device if there are fl ammable gases in the
air (e.g. hair spray).
• Keep a suffi cient distance from heat sources, e.g. hobs, ovens.
