5. Deflation
1. Clear any water or debris out of the valve areas.
2. Slowly press down on the valve stem to start letting air out of the board. There will be an initial burst
of air, but that will slow down very quickly.
6. Inflation Tips and Precautions
The board can be inflated either with high-pressure hand pump supplied with your SUP or with an
electric pump. In this case, the inflator should be up to 60-80% of the required volume of air. To
finalize the inflation, you should use the hand pump. The correct pressure is min.12psi - max.15psi.
Do not use an air compressor. Damage to your board caused by over inflation from an air compres-
sor is not covered by our warranty.
After 2 or 3 days there may be a small decrease of pressure due to temperature change. If so, pump
up to required pressure.
Before first use, inflate the board 24 hours before use to make sure the board is airtight. If you notice
a consistent decrease in air pressure, follow the instructions for leak detection in the board in the
repair section of this manual.
Do not over-inflate the board. A max pressure of 15 psi is adequate. An inflation above the permis-
sible pressure will alter the product.
Do not pump to a high pressure and let the board sit out in the hot sun. If the board is going to be
in a warm environment, slightly deflate the board. Please remember to readjust the pressure with
the pump at the launch. Note: with heat, pressure inside the board increases, conversely, with the
cold it will decrease.
Do not stand with your face above the valve when deflating. The high pressure can damage your
eyes. Sand or other debris can also be projected.
