Problem
Burner does not light
using igniter.
Burner does not light
using a match.

Cause
Wires or electrode are
covered with cooking
residue.
Electrode and burners are
wet.
Electrode is cracked or
broken.
Wire is loose or
disconnected.
Wire is shorting (sparking
between igniter and
electrode).
No gas flow.
Coupling nut and
regulator are not fully
connected.
Obstruction of gas flow.
Spider webs or insect nest
in venturi.
Burner ports clogged or
blocked.

Solution
Clean the wires and
electrodes with rubbing
alcohol.
Wipe the electrode and
burners with a dry cloth.
Replace electrode.
Reconnect wire or replace
electrode/wire assembly.
Replace electrode/wire
assembly.
Check if the LP gas
cylinder is empty. If
empty, replace or refill.
Turn the coupling nut
until a solid stop. Tighten
by hand only, do not use
tools.
Clean the burner tubes
and check for bent or
kinked hose.
Clean the venturi.
Clean the burner ports.
