Never use any sharp objects such as knives or forks on the different
parts, always use wooden spoons/spatulas.
•
Do not use a metal scouring pad to clean the appliance. Metal
fragments can break off and come into contact with the electrical
components of the appliance, causing a short circuit.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•
Remove all packing materials and carefully clean the appliance, the
grill plate and the raclette pans before the first use. (See "Cleaning
and maintenance").

Use a thin layer of vegetable oil in the raclette pans and on the
grill plate. This will prevent sticking and cleaning after use will be
easier.
•
When using the appliance for the first time a small amount
of smoke may be released from the heating element. This is
completely normal and harmless. For this reason allow the
